Sycarion, I've downloaded the new fonts, and I'll try them out soon. Let me know if there's anything else you need.

Please present the new fonts on the main site. I think it would be best if they were renamed or re-tooled to something like "BFRPG-Soultane" or "BFRPG-TextBody" or something similar. This way, the BFRPG site hosts the 'official' version of the fonts. No more various versions/editions/alts of Fonts using same/similar names.

Once the official fonts are on the main site, then we can reference it on various threads or places (such as instructions within the template documents).
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

I'm against renaming them, but I will see about getting them posted. Sycarion, do I need any sort of README for these?

Quicksand is a free font without any license - use as you like as the creator says.

http://daily.creattica.com/2008/10/free-font-quicksand/

This font has been transformed from OTF to TTF with the added glyph of a circle of hp tallies.

Sling is a free font that has been floating around since 1994. It says copyright from STAR Retrieval Systems, but that company has been out of business for a long time.

If this should be in a README, I can make one.

If we distribute them, we probably do need a README.

I'll type up a README and include it in the zip file in preparation for possible future distribution.

I need to add this to the zip file.

README.TXT

Quicksand is a license-free font created by Andrew Paglinawan. The original typeface includes seven weights and is available here: http://www.andrewpaglinawan.com/QuicksandFamily.zip. It has been hosted in other places without controversy from its creator.

As the font carries no license (http://typophile.com/node/50437) two of the weights, book and bold were converted into True Type Fonts. This was done because of the PDF rendering issue with open type fonts in OpenOffice. When this rendering issue is resolved, it is planned to revert to the original Open Type Fonts.

One glyph has been added to the Quicksand Book font, a circle.

Sling was originally created by STAR Retrieval Systems in 1994. The company that created this font no longer exists. It is hosted in many places on free font sites on the internet and is considered abandonware.

Enjoy these typefaces. In the case of Quicksand, please visit Andrew Paglinawan's website and show your support and appreciation.

Just thought you might like to know that the above link is broken, as it gives an Error 404 Page not found. I just noticed the template here and would love to have a copy of it.
