Ah, so you're all still with me. Good. All the posts made since Monday are good (as in, nothing happens to alter what you've all written) but as yet you have not posted any activities I need to rule on. So play on... when you need me, I'll chime in.

"If you're up for the challenge I can help play tug-of-war a little longer", Rykken chuckles.Hywaywolf wrote:"Makes no difference to me. I'm fine with going down. Let me light a torch and yall can lower me back down."
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

Shybolt repacks his gear, reties the rope to his waist, lights a torch and is ready to head down, sword in hand.

Timorel, leaning against the cave wall, dozes off while Shybolt is fiddling with his gear.
*snort* "What? Oh." He moves into his place in line (3rd) and is ready to go.Blazeguard wrote:"If you're up for the challenge I can help play tug-of-war a little longer", Rykken chuckles.

Supported by his allies, and fresh torch in hand, Shybolt carefully descended into the tunnel again. He hadn't gone far when he saw glowing eyes below him.
Five of them, bobbing and blinking at him, moving independently of each other. A chill went up Shybolt's spine...
Shybolt is the only PC combatant in this fight at present, and has the initiative.

Assuming these things are outside of torchlight range, probably at the edge of dim range, say 40-45' away. Shybolt will grip his sword tighter and say, "if I don't say otherwise, in 5 or 6 seconds pull me back quickly. I see some eyes waving around down here." Then he will step forward a little more to get more light on the thing.

Re: Chapter 11: Return to Redbluff
I'm assuming, based on your lack of information, that Shybolt is holding his action with intent to attack if approached. If I have read this wrong, well, sorry.
As Shybolt took a step forward, his light revealed a strange sight... a giant frog with five eyes on stalks. Even as he saw it, it leaped at him, and almost by instinct he stepped aside and struck at it even as it bit at him. Neither of them succeeded in injuring the other, however.
Faster than he would have thought possible, the monstrous frog turned and bit at Shybolt again, this time wounding his leg. Strangely, the wound only hurt for a moment, and then his leg became numb. He felt a strange lethargy going through his veins, but he shrugged it off.
So we're in the second round, and the monster has already attacked. Shybolt is ahead of his friends in initiative order, and so may strike at the froggy if he wants. Then, unless I get further instructions, I assume the others will drag him out of the tunnel.

Shybolt will swing like he's chopping wood at the frog.

Once again, Shybolt took a swing at the monstrous frog, but it was too nimble for him and he missed it outright.
