You're showing your American prejudice, Mr. Smoot, though not badly so. I live 45 miles from Hannibal, MO, a place where people flock at certain times of year to pay homage to Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain to those who don't remember his real name). We wouldn't really be all that interested in a Tom Sawyer-themed adventure, as we're fairly swimming in commercialized Twain materials. I suspect I, a resident of the midwestern USA, am more interested in Vikings and King Arthur than many who live in the relevant countries.

Most people find themselves drawn to that which is exotic and different, then hammer it like the proverbial square peg into the round hole of the relevant and familiar. It's just what we do.

Ah, now here I see the inverse. As awareness spreads, we will grow our fanbase, and potentially contributors in far-ranging locales. If you want to see something from another cultural history or perspective, having somebody swimming in it would be best informed. "Write what you know" and all.

The other side of it - You want to play something a bit more familiar, but it isn't represented in the materials. So you make it. Dimirag's work on the Gaucho class is the kind of thing I'm thinking of. Outside of BF, I've learned a lot of odd bits of Malaysian and Philippine lore from "local" contributors on writeups.org (Mayfair DCHeroes based).

Still no Amazon Canada for this... I wonder why. I posted about this via facebook, and one of the first respondents inquires about Canadian access. Solo, can you check out if Canada is an option? Probably just a function of Printer availability.

Dunno. I'm afraid people in the US are prone to forget the existence of Canada, and I have to say, I have no idea what it actually costs to ship from here to there.

I'm guessing it has to do with lack of POD production facilities in those countries.

I tried also to look for Brazil's availability, but could not find it there. Having Asian (China, Japan, Korea, more) availability would be very nice. Strange thing is these are major major markets, and not exactly third world (well perhaps rural China). I would expect them to have such availability (and if not now, it is likely forthcoming).

and this is one of the reason I got other basic books from italy to see if they are different from the german one

An interesting wrinkle: Under the CreateSpace model, it appears to be impossible for me to make no profit. Sales through Amazon.com make none, but I make a something less than a dollar each on sales through Amazon UK, Amazon Europe, and CreateSpace.com (I haven't figured the exchange rate for the foreign sales, and it won't matter anyway since the rate will change).

I have something like $50 - $60 in expenses in the project for the last seven years; if I ever actually get a royalty check, I'll apply it there first. Any extra profit after that will be used for promotion, probably for convention giveaways (for which I'll need help from the community in distributing).

But the chickens aren't hatched yet, so we won't count them. I just wanted to explain the situation.

Unfortunately, yes. To get something shipped to Canada from the US is at least double if not more than shipping it within the US. It doesn't make any more sense to us here.
