"Its a fairly obvious trap once we got some light in here. You should be able to handle this with no problem. I'll watch and if I think I see where my advice will be useful I call out. Good Luck."
Re: Chapter 1: Wherein the Protagonists Meet at an Inn
Hearing the talk of traps needing disarmed, Galen performs the measures that aid in such matters (+5% lock picking and trap removal attempts).
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

Selene bends to the task, accompanied by Galen's Music and Muddles' occasional suck of breath at the near accident. The pleasant tune is interrupted by a sharp 'twang!' followed by a light thunk. The trap is disabled, though most of the doornob assembly came loose in the process.SmootRK wrote:Hearing the talk of traps needing disarmed, Galen performs the measures that aid in such matters (+5% lock picking and trap removal attempts).
The separate lock is easily handled by Muddle, and the door is ready to swing open.

Selene swings the door open.

Between the hall lamp and the light coming through worn curtains, you see a fairly large room, spanning the width of the building from the look of it. A fireplace and chimney - likely the one from below - sit near the center of the room. Half of the room is arranged as sleeping quarters, with nice but heavily used furniture. Two beds are here, both severely unkempt. The other side of the room is set up as a lounge, or study, or possibly an office. The closer end is dominated by a round table and chairs, the far end by two heavily abused leather chairs, and an old desk. A battered but sturdy trunk sits in the corner next to the desk.jcm wrote:Selene swings the door open.

Muddle steps to the side and with a theatrical wave of his hand he says, "Voila! Enter and have at it."

Selene cautiously moves towards the desk. If she reaches it without incident she will examine the desk and the trunk for traps and locks.

Upon noticing our roguish members inspecting the area, Galen keeps the measures going (bard song). While doing so, Galen keeps his eyes open for danger, including our backsides.jcm wrote:Selene cautiously moves towards the desk. Saeloria slowly enters the room and will visually inspect the room and will pay particular attention to the desk and trunk. She will see if she can see any identifying marks or symbols on either of them and/or identify the origin or maker of any of the items.
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

Hamish, satisfied that someone is dealing with the contents of the room, turns his attention to watching out behind the party.
