[Solomoriah]

Holding for Timorel

[Sir Bedivere]

Timorel goes back to the hole. Along the way, he quietly tells Shybolt that "We'd better face them up here," and motions with an arm for the rest to come back up. He prepares to face whatever comes through the door.

[Hywaywolf]

Shybolt dipd his head down and says, "Trouble up here, probabl;y the dwarves, come back up." He then climbs back into the room and moves against the wall to the right of the door. He will make himself small and attempt to hide (70%) from them to get in a sneak attack if it comes to fighting.

(OOC: Timorel should try to engage them in conversation to keep them on the other side of the door to give the others time to come up the rope.

[Blazeguard]

"Up, down, make up your minds." mutters Rykken as he climbs back up the rope. Once he reaches the top he will help whomever is following, up before moving to a spot beside Shybolt.

[Solomoriah]

There was a second heavy crash against the door, and it flew open. Timorel and Rykken saw the dwarves facing them with blood in their eyes. One of the dwarves had apparently forced the door, and in the process he went down to one knee; the one beside him was the leader, Trajan, with his longsword in his hand and a sneer on his face. The other four dwarves behind them held crossbows at the ready.

One of the crossbow-armed dwarves let fly, but his attack missed. Trajan held his position, apparently waiting for the adventurers to counterattack. He said, "Yer a bit down on yer count, boys," and he snickered.

Timorel and Rykken may act now. Three crossbow-armed dwarves will then attack, and then I'll roll initiative and Shybolt will be able to join the party for the second round.

[Sir Bedivere]

Timorel laughs and points behind the dwarfs. "Look!" he says, then he casts Sleep.

(OOC: It's a feint, but not much else I can do.)

[Hywaywolf]

Is it that none of the dwarves entered the room that Shybolt can't act this round?

[Solomoriah]

Just how fast do you think a halfling can climb back up 20' of rope? I personally think I'm being pretty generous... I didn't even ask where you tied it off.

Ok. I wasn't sure how fast this all went down.

[Blazeguard]

Rykken will move up and attack Trajan with his maul, trying to stay in a position that keeps Trajan between him and the crossbow wielding dwarves. He is hoping that he can cause enough disturbance so that Timorel can get his sleep spell cast and hopefully keep Trajan occupied enough so that Shybolt can get a sneak attack in. He mentally crosses his fingers and breathes a silent prayer to every god that he is familiar with.
