Re: Welcome to the Borderlands
His mind still reeling from Magner's rambling discourse, Thorgrim pipes up, "Two people showed up and removed the guild dues? I think that maybe you should start at the beginning and tell us what happened."
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

Re: Welcome to the Borderlands
Several weeks ago Clyne Elffrin disappeared on what he told me was "official guild business". He was gone for about a week before my men discovered a human and a halfling carting bags and small boxes out of the AG tower. I of course attempted to stop them. They informed me that Clyne had been moved to a different post and that they had been ordered to move the guilds dues to another tower for safe keeping. I demanded to see their chits and they produced them along with the keys to the tower. I ordered two of my men to watch the tower as the money was being moved. After the human and halfling had finished packing their cart they gave my men the two keys to the tower and said a new representative would arrive within the week. Its been 3 months. I had my suspicions at the time that they were not who they said they were, but I am under orders not to interfere with the AG and so I let them slide. I feel as though I made a grave mistake. Here take the two keys to the tower, you can find it north of town. Perhaps more clues to what happened to Clyne can be found within.

"Did you note their chit marks? It might help to know who was there - or who else may have gotten 'reassigned'." Magner gives the final word a rather ominous undertone.

"Of course" Commander Giles says as he pulls a piece of paper from his desk drawer.
"Lewyn Arker, human, age 28, and Monder Pycey, halfling, age 34. Both are registered members of the Westport guild house."

"Did you get the identification numbers on those?"
OOC: Talim writes the details down (if he has his writing implements with him, which he conscientiously does)

Commander Giles gives you the pairs numbers.
"Will their be anything else?"

"So obviously, you had never seen these men before. Was there anything else that you can remember about them? Identifying marks, mannerisms, accents, or anything else unusual?"

"They were fairly nondescript to be perfectly honest. Though the human looked like he had been in a bad fight, all bandaged up. The halfling did have a gold pommeled dagger that looked very old. Other than that I can't remember much about them."

"Thank you. I know if they are foolish enough to show their faces here again you will lock them up quicker than they can say 'Adventurers Guild'. Have you sent any communication to the Adventurers Guild regarding this yet?"

"No. Like I said I am under orders not to interfere with guild business. Which I assumed it was."
