I saw several of you mentioned that you had tablets in this thread - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=431
I am thinking of taking the plunge and was just wondering what you have, if you have any suggestions, or any other input you may care to share.

Interested in a tablet - tips?
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.
Re: Interested in a tablet - tips?
I have a Viewsonic G-Tab, Its running Android 2.3 right now and I love it. The caveat though is that on the RPG front there isn't as much out there as there is for the IPad. The Dice Bag App that was recommended is pretty damn cool though, and I use the browser with favorites linked to various pages on the Pathfinder SRD site. You can load up all your gaming PDFs on it as well instead of hauling around alot of books. I've tried a few PDF readers and the one that comes with QuickOffice seems to be the most responsive when you have larger sized pdfs. There is a guy selling a D20 character builder on the Android store. Its pretty good but nowhere near the polish of the Character Builders I've seen for the IPad. As much as I hate to say this, if price ISN'T an object I might go with an IPad just because of the depths of the apps out there. If price IS an object then an Android based tablet is the better choice.

Curious... I have a gTablet also. Running Cyanogenmod 7, or the stock load of crap?
(And... does it freeze up and reboot more than daily?)

I have a windows 7 based tablet. N455 processor, 2Gig memory, 360G hard drive, 10.2" touch screen, WIFI, camera, 3x USB ports, etc.
Bought on eBay for about $400 and works very nicely. Fairly responsive screen, good size for viewing. Only drawback is don't expect to use it for too long with out a power point close - 1.5 to 2 hours. But being Win7 means everything you do on your computer, you can do in it too

Crap. The freezes must be my specific unit, rather than endemic to the whole series.
Guess I'm stuck with it now.
