I like the idea of both classes, one being the wilderness fighter, the other the wilderness thief.
If your question is about the Download classes.... I'd say Ranger, the Scout's ranged bonus ruins the class for me and I'm not to fond of the dual wield double attack as a class feature.
Sorry for any misspelling or writing error, I am not a native English speaker

I'll also say "Ranger" because I enjoy classes that are more thematic and evocative of a certain type of fiction. I think Ranger and I think LOTR. It's just a more interesting flavor for me.

I personally prefer the Ranger class.
In the Game I am running for my family my daughter is playing a ranger and has been getting a lot of utility out of it. My youngest son (10yo) wanted to play a thief. I helped him develop a cover story that he is actually a scout with a lot of other "skills". He is a thief but I explained it would be odd if you met a bunch of people (even though they are all family) and said "hi I am a thief." since no one else in the group has played a RPG they are none the wiser and my youngest loves that he has this huge secret. The Scout class gives him some flexibility to develop this back story and I appreciate that.
