Interpretation to Wilderness Travel
So I had ran through a PbP with some players over a discord server that I have. The game was fun and as much I'm still prepping a few things as I didn't prep a lot lol, Though as the party travels to morgansfort. I wonder the scale as to how i should handle movement even if it is theater of the mind. for instance, the map of Morgansfort and the area is one square = 120' yards. I know its stated that movements get flipped from feet to yards when travelling outside. So as I tweaked a few house rules (encumbrance/carrying capacity being thrown out, but modified) and streamlined rules as much as I can, so it doesn't feel slowed down. So would it be I measure everyone's movement when they are not fighting into miles and have a scale as to how many squares per mile can be put into exploring?
Re: Interpretation to Wilderness Travel
Morganfort's has 1 square=120 yards.
It takes about 15 of those for one mile.
(Which means I used to run 23 squares under 8 minutes!)
Assuming the party has metal armor, the basic movement is 20', which means 12 miles a day on a plain, 16 miles/day on a road, 8 miles/day in forest or hills and 4 miles/day in swamp.
