Chapter I: Into the keep of Kamir

[Joe the Rat]

Primer yells down, "What you have there, lads?"

Galan manages to spike it shut, right before the owlbears slam into the door. The force of the impact knocks Thaddeus and Galan off their feet, and slam them into the floor, both taking 1dmg. The owlbears beat on he door, b ut can't seem to get past it. Through all the noise, Neville hears a goblin yell, from behind the skull door, "Over there! Someone's coming!"

[Blazeguard]

(OOC: Just to clarify, the goblin yell we heard was coming from behind the door that we just spiked shut?)

[Joe the Rat]

"Hammer and Tongs, trouble! I'm comin' lads!"

Keiler runs down to back up Thaddeus and Neville.

(OOC: either that is a very sturdy door, or somethings afoot.)

[Hywaywolf]

Thaddeus rubs the boo boo on his butt and says "I'm at a lost here folks. Don't want to lose the chest, but we are outbeared here."

[shaeffer]

(ooc: the skull door has the owlbears [and now goblins] while the other door has the treasure chest)

Neville indicates towards the unlocked door and the treasure. "It's either the treasure or go back the way we came. My vote is treasure."
Neville will carefully venture through the door and check the room for traps.

[Blazeguard]

Galan runs back up the ladder and quickly fills Pero and Davros in on what is happening below. "We found 2 rooms - 1 containing what looks to be a treasure chest and the other 3 caged owlbears who broke free when we opened the door. We just managed to spike the door shut but we are now hearing goblin voices from that room as well. Neville is checking the treasure room for traps but it appears that unless we are able to overcome the owlbears we are stuck here."

(OOC: Were there any other exits in either room that Neville or Thaddeus saw before slamming the door shut?)

"Galen, should we stay here or head down and help?"

[Hywaywolf]

If we retrieve the chest we can use pools of oil and fire bombs at the bottom of the stairs, but that may engulf the whole building. We are in deep doo either way.

Neville walks into the room to get the chest. It's not locked, and there's a lot of silver in it. Neville also notices, behind the chest, a trap door! It's not locked, and it leads to stairs. Just as he notices, the owlbears slam into the door again. A large crack goes down the door, it won't hold much longer.
