If Brother Arvens Turn did not work then he will be backing up Grumm (technically standing behind him making sure he stays between the skeleton and Brother Arven :o )

Timorel gives the situation a second to see if the turning had any affect. If not, he matter-of-factly says, "Close and bar the door" while sprinting forward to do so.

If timorel runs forward to bar the door, Shybolt will run to help him, saying as he helps, "What for? I think Grumm can take him."

Timorel leaped forward, slamming the door shut and fumbling with the bar, but the rope got in his way. It was all done so quickly that Brother Arven couldn't tell if his Turning had any effect on the monster... but in just a moment, it all became clear, as the door shuddered under the impact of the creature. Though he wasn't able to bar the door, Timorel did manage to hold it closed.

Second round: Grumm and Shybolt are tied for initiative with the monster, Timorel and Brother Arven are faster.

"Father Myrtum always said 'Haste makes waste', but I do not think that applies to this situation." Brother Arven exclaims as he jumps forward throwing his considerable weight against the door assisting Timorel.
As the creature slams against the door again it barely budges only causing dust to fall.
Leaning against the door and with a wide grin to Timorel, Brother Arven pats his massive girth "I am what you can call a "Full" gospel preacher eh? Get it? A full gospel....Oh man you elves need to lighten up. What ya wanna live forever?"

Grumm will assist in holding the door closed - perhaps so Shybolt can secure the bar.

Timorel turns his back to the door and puts his legs into holding it shut. "Excuse me," Timorel says to Shybolt, "but would you be so kind as to bar the door? It seems death's come calling and we're pretending we're not home."

"I always preferred the half-gospel preachers myself; shorter sermons. But I'm beginning to see the wisdom of your sect," Timorel replies, grunting as he pushes against the door.

Grumm moves in and squeezes between Brother Arven and Timorel, as they hold the door.
Brother Arven says to Grumm, "Hey now, watch those hands big boy, the mage said sect! That's S-E-C-T."

Shybolt untangles himself from Timorel from when he raced in to help shut the door and wrestles the bar into place. "What happened to the plan of master Grumm wrestling that thing best 2 out of 3 falls?"

Brother Arven, relieved that Shybolt has the bar in place relaxes slightly and replies to Shybolts question, 'Well I do not think we have totally forgone that plan actually, it is just that Master Grumm was slightly put off at the way he opened the door and found the creature asleep, He thought it would be more sporting if he gave it another chance, this time with the thing enraged and ready."
"Of course we do not want to interfere with the whole brave warrior thing so we should probably stand way down the hall and just observe."

The more to himself, he mumbles "And considering my actual usefulness in this encounter as well as my lack of success in combat these last few days, I am truly considering just throwing myself into that glowing portal and ending any potential chance of continuing to screw things up. This is getting pathetic, I am glad Father Birchum is not here to see this, he always said that my turning was sloppy. "Hold it like this." he said, but did I listen? Noooooo. I was more interested in books and food. Well food more than books, unless you count the books about food, now those were good. I remember......."
He stops talking when he realizes that no one is listening to him. "Sigh, I need a familiar."
