Shybolt steps back from the door, back into the passage, wields his sword in his right hand and the torch in his left, and says, "you have my blessing to kick or pull that door open any way you please."

Grumm will hold his pole arm in one hand and open the door with the other, doing his best to move with the door so as not to be standing right in front of the doorway when it is opened, but rather with his back to the nearest wall.

He'll also mutter a little prayer.

"Wait let us spread out a bit, having us all bunched up like this will just make us all a group of crispy critters if that door decides to spew fire like that other one did." As he moves back down the hall to his original rear position Brother Arven mutters "I sure hope he is praying to the right God." Then cringing and facing the rear hallway he awaits the blast.

OOC; Sorry for the late post, for some reason the board keeps logging me out, so when I check in, unless I actually go in and check the posts, I do not see the new posts. So I end up coming in several time and not seeing anything new, then realizing that it logged me out again the I log in and bam 10 new posts. Weird.

Nekron99, perhaps you should use an email subscription so you'll know when there are updates. That's how I do it. No idea why you're getting knocked off, unfortunately.

Grumm removed the bar, then attempted to pull the door open, but it wouldn't budge. It was stuck fast, apparently.

Timorel stays to the side, ready to fight or flee or put some evil to sleep.

Grumm: "I'm not so sure I want to kick it in. Doesn't feel right."

are they any handles or protrusions on the door that would allow a rope to be tied to it?

Besides the brackets for the bar, there is a regular door handle.

Shybolt ties his rope to the door handle, hands the other end to Grumm and says, "Its your town, do it if you want to know whats in there."

he'll then back away and draw his bow.

Brother Arven leans over and whispers to Timorel "The short man has some serious "possession" issues eh?"
