Accessible Character Sheet
Greetings. We really appreciate what the BFRPG community is doing!
The approach you have taken is very much in line with our research and community guidelines, and your make the game so much more available and accessible than just about any other RPG out there.
We introduce new groups, brand new to RPGs, with BFRPG many times per month, and send them to your site.
We work with schools, community centers, and others to use BFRPG as well.
We work with a lot of populations that need considerations for a wide range of neurodiversity and disabilities. To meet their needs we have been working on a BFRPG sheet.
We'd like to submit it for review and consideration in your downloads.
Our organization consists of more than a 100 volunteers around the world, but our founder, Hawke Robinson, is the main person driving the BFRPG efforts.
We appreciate feedback for improvement if needed (keeping in mind accessibility is first priority), and if you are happy with it, if you would consider adding it to your list of player character sheets.
We're also working on an accessible version of the rulebook, including making it more text-reader friendly, and a braille version, to submit for your review when it is ready.
Accessibility considerations for this character sheet: dyslexia, visually impaired, brain injuries, developmental disabilities, developmental delays, and players as young as 5 years old.
Thank you for all your efforts!

Re: Accessible Character Sheet
Up until four years ago, at a former employers, I had access to Kurzweil 3000, JAWS, and Dragon Naturally Speaking as part of my duties as a Assistive Technology Specialist. I would take the books I was looking at here and put the PDF through Kurzweil 3000 to listen to them. It gave me practice to help support the programs. So some of the older books have already been run through a text reader.
For the character sheet I like the large print, shapes and colors for the various entries. Basic Fantasy doesn't use an Appearance stat. What are the lines for WOUNDS and condition for, again they are not part of the Basic Fantasy entries. I also notice there isn't any space given for Thief Skills or for the Cleric or Magic User Spells.
Thank you for letting us look at your sheet. And if no one has told you lately, THANK YOU, for helping people with disabilities, especially in these uncertain times. (Yes, I yelled thank you).

Re: Accessible Character Sheet
Thief skills and spells could be listed in the "Class Features" section/box. I would swap that section/box and "Weapons, Armor, etc." section/box, as I think the former could use more space than the latter.AlMan wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2020 12:22 am For the character sheet I like the large print, shapes and colors for the various entries. I like the shapes for the Saving Throws; the circles aren't needed (there are few mods [p.53]).

Re: Accessible Character Sheet
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions.
We have some modifications in our games, that help with the at-risk populations we work with, and some of our theories & research, that is why the Appearance, Wounds, etc. custom fields added.
Here is an updated version attached, version "M", that removes those custom fields for public use (we're still using them for our programs), and a third page to keep the fonts large for visually impaired while including the more specific inclusion of Thief skills (with blanks for others like Assassins, etc.), spells section, more defined weapons section, etc.
Any other tweaks anyone thinks might be needed?

Re: Accessible Character Sheet
Question: Is it "Hawkes" or "Hawke?" The original post has the latter, but the filenames have the former. I'm guessing the filename is right but have no way to know for sure.
Following our standard release policy, I'm calling the last version you uploaded R1; I'll update the release number when I upload newer versions.

Re: Accessible Character Sheet
My formal (publication/legal) name is William A. Hawkes-Robinson, but I less formally go by Hawke Robinson with everyone that actually knows me.Solomoriah wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 9:45 am Question: Is it "Hawkes" or "Hawke?" That is great. Thanks kindly!

Third page
"Open Locks" is both the first and last skill listed.
Turn Undead could use the HD value for each roll
