Re: MapMatic +2
Did some more user interface updates. Slowly but surely getting it straight... I didn't know much CSS when I started on it, and it shows.

Chris.. Your #1 Mapmatic Enthusiast here! (I have no actual data to back that claim).
Here is what I think is a fairly easy request.
- Curved Cave Wall Outside: The shading on the inside. I think it would really complement the other Curved Cave wall (Curved Wall)
Also I'll let you consider whether you think these would be valuable..
- DIagonal Cave (No Fill)
- Cave Door
- Cave Door Diagonal
- Curved Wall Outer (I know we have one for larger radius' in the Castle section but maybe on to match the Curved Wall Inner.

I think having cave doors/gates to go along with the existing mouth/opening could be done, I'll try to come up with some symbols. I'm having some trouble envisioning the other requests but I'll play around with MapMatic this weekend and see if it clicks for me. I have a ton of other symbol requests I need to work on as well. Here is what I think is a fairly easy request.

Re: MapMatic +2
I wonder if alternate sorts of shading can be incorporated? "Hatching" of different sorts or styles would allow for some variety of looks.
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

Re: MapMatic +2
I think hatching for cave walls, etc. would look great, while keeping the plain filled squares for generic fill-ins.
Re: MapMatic +2
Before I start work on too many new symbol graphics here's the list I've come up with so far:
Table (square and round)
Bench
Bed
Barrel/Box
Puddle (similar to pool with sides, corners, etc.)
Revolving Door
Chasm ("natural pit", similar to comparing man-made pool to natural puddle)
Teleport (need symbols for both send and receive points, one-way, etc.)
Fountain
Boulder/Rock/Rubble
Stalagmite/Stalactite
Bridge
Ladder (exists but doesn't make sense?)
Locked door (& diagonal)
Whirlpool (either in one square or with rounded edges)
I'd like Solo's yay or nay before proceeding
As well as anyone else' suggestions for new symbols as well as tweaks/changes to my proposed

Re: MapMatic +2
Good list. Regarding Chasm, I can see the value of an entire set of "walls" of all orientations that is of a sheer surface (wondering if I am conveying it adequately); basically, give the impression of a depressed area without necessarily having to draw another dungeon level.chiisu81 wrote:Before I start work on too many new symbol graphics here's the list I've come up with so far:

Re: MapMatic +2
Are you planning to draw these, then? If so, please just do one or two and send them to me, and I'll verify fit (or cut and fit them if you are doing just the symbol drawing). That way, if you need to make a change in how you do things, you won't have to redo a lot.

Re: MapMatic +2
hey, would it be possible to add a section for numbers (0-9) so that you can just click a number like clicking a statue and drop it on the map? So we can number rooms. And maybe one with the alphabet. If you make them small so that you could put 1 on either side of a cell we might be able to put simple text into the room.
Also, maybe a symbol that represents a party and some that represent different PCs?
