Season 1 - Episode 4: The Goblin Caves

I’m going to be travelling with work for the next couple of days. Next post from me will probably be Friday. In the meantime, discuss what you plan to do next ...

Nivek switches from bleeding copiously to bleeding profusely.... and he continues to drool.

edit: did not notice that we are stabilized... Nivek just drools now.

If Doughbert wins initiative he will use the bow to shoot up the 'burning goblin' lit passage at the retreating gobs, preferably goblin #1. Hopefully #5 will probably die from the second round of burns. Not sure if splatter on #1 gets 2 rounds of burning though. He will also call out to hiker, "Shoot your bow at one of those gobs while we can still see them." He'll also call out to Karl, "Grab Paladins bow and shoot at those gobs. Kill them before they get out of range."

If all of the the gobs get initiative and disappear behind the curtain before doughbert can shoot, he'll wait for the fire to burn out then race after the Gobs, calling all who can fight to follow him, "We must rescue the girl and get the hell out of here. Lets hit them while their demoralized, maybe they'll surrender."

Obviously if Hiker can actually SEE a goblin he will fire at it, if not he will wait for something to jump through the fire to shoot at it.

Goblin arrow shot you in the back Nivek, pants Paladin. Sorry about that. Paladin drags himself upright. Do you think he bear will let me ride him now?

"Doughbert, wait!" yells Tannen as he finishes binding Nivek's wound.

Tannen looks around at the party - all wounded, two severely so.

"We must retreat and regain our strength. We don't know how many more goblins are down that tunnel. Their chief could be there - the one Hiker described seeing wearing the horned helmet. If that wolf is chained up back in that room, you can kill it with your arrows on the way out, but I think we should fall back into the woods.

Tannen looks around to see what the others think...

Don't dally, finish the job, gasps Paladin. Take my bow and the arrows to strike them from a distance while they are disorganized.

[actingkeith]

"Shut up, little one," Karl hushed aggressively, looking straight into Paladin's eyes. "It is largely your stupidity and cowardice that have made it so that we can't pursue them while they're disorganized. I may be dumb, but you're a fool."

"We have to get to a place of safety to heal, Sergeant."

[Hywaywolf]

"We are here now, we must attack while they are disorganized. If you are not a coward, come with me. Our actions have put the girls life in balance. I swear to you that the curtain must hide the last room in this cave. "

Doughbert looks down the passage to see if hiker and his arrows had killed any other gobs, then continues. "There are only a few left. One of us yanks down the curtain and the rest fire arrows into the room. Then the big boys close in to finish any left standing."

"Doughbert! Stop!" Tannen shouts at the halfling.

"Our numbers are diminished and our wounds are many. You must not press on!"

Tannen intends to help Nivek to his feet and hopefully Karl will do the same with Paladin. Tannen will ask Hiker to cover the group's withdrawal (he'll give Hiker simple instructions as to how to cover a retreat ) out of the caves and into the woods as fast as is safe.
