Poison Spell (Neutralize Poison Reversed) Question

I'm new to Basic Fantasy and had a question about the reversed version of Neutralize Poison, the Poison spell. The wording says: "The caster's touch remains poisonous for 1 round per level of ability..."
My question is in regards to "per level of ability" - what does this mean exactly? What ability? Any help here would be great, thanks in advance

I would (hopefully correctly) assume it means character level. If so it should be worded as such.

Should say "per caster level." Whenever I do a new release, it will.
