Chapter 1: The Descent
Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
The other door then?
If so, Dorne will take his position at the rear of the party, and focus his attention to anything that may come out of the hallways.

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Grumm snorts his approval for checking the other door.
[OOC - I'll be unavailable tomorrow - going on a little Disneyland trip with the family. Grumm will go where the party decides to go, stand watch while they check things out, and in a fight do his best to keep Timorel alive. I'll try to check my email tomorrow night, and I'll be home by Wednesday night.]

"... or I suppose deepest might refer to Harald's stew pot." Suddenly noticing the others' attention has shifted, Timorel says, "What? Oh, right. To the other door it is, then."
(OOC: Have fun, jstater! We'll try to keep Grumm alive.)

Now that Timorel has left his intellectual musings and rejoined us, Shybolt will indicate the other door to the others, firmly shut this door and then move across the hall, looking up each passage as he passes them. At the door he will listen again, inspect the door for traps and determine whether it is locked or stuck.

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Shybolt inspected the east door, and found it trap-free. It appeared not to be locked, but was stuck tightly. Listening, he heard nothing from within.

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Shybolt reports to the others, "its clear, but stuck."
Shybolt will then step aside prop his torch against the wall and ready his bow. Hell then nod to grumm "after you"

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Muttering, "Can't find good carpenters these days," Timorel makes sure he's not in the path of anything that might charge out of the door (or Grumm's glaive) and gently sets his torch down to free a hand for spellcasting.

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Grumm: "Allow me, gentlemen."
Grumm will do as he did before - try to stand back and force the door open with the butt of the glaive. If that doesn't work, he'll use his foot.

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Dorne will stand at the ready, again focused more on anything that may be come at the party from behind, rather than what is behind the door.

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Grumm tried to force the door, but neither his glaive nor his foot were up to the task.
