Chapter 1: The Descent

Grumm: "Yikes! Good lesson about door opening."

[Sir Bedivere]

"What is it?"

[jstater]

"Don't"

[Maliki]

"Just a slight singe of the old beard, good thing us dwarves have cat-like reflexes, but perhaps we should have used the rope."

[Hywaywolf]

"No, you were right. You're skin will grow back, but I'd have hated to lose 10' of good rope."

[Maliki]

"Good rope is hard to come by."

[Solomoriah]

"Watching stalagtites grow is better than burning your nads off," Shybolt offers while walking carefully back to the door. He'll look inside to see if there is anything good to see.

Shybolt looked carefully into the room. There was quite a bit of equipment in it, mostly pipes it seemed; if he wanted to search the room, it appeared he'd have to climb over, under, and through the pipe maze. He wondered what might be in there...

[Hywaywolf]

Shybolt will search the outer passageway adjoining the pipe room looking for secret doors into this room. If he doesn't find any he will suggest that they continue searching eastward and hope that we find a different door into the room. Someone has to maintain it and they would need an easier way to get in. BTW, is there any gold in the burned out teeth?

Grumm will stand watch while Shybolt does his thing.

Shybolt searched, but found no secret doors. Just as he was finishing, Timorel thought he heard a sound from back down the corridor to the south. He called out, just in time to alert the party to the approach of a group of battle-scarred troglodytes!
