Chapter 1: The Descent

[Hywaywolf]

"I'm all for moving away from these stairs as well. Go somewhere where the picking are better."

Shybolt will look at the three unexplored passages.

"Shall we try North?"

[Sir Bedivere]

Grumm is satisfied that we know leaping into the circle would make us disappear - either sending us someplace we cannot be prepared for, or sending into nothingness. Either way, he'd rather keep going around corners he can see rather into the great unknown.

"Indeed."

"Shall we try North?"

"It does seem an intriguing little hook up there, doesn't it? What do you think, Dorne? You're the underground expert, I presume."

[jstater]

Grumm: "North suits me."

[Maliki]

"North works for me.

[Hywaywolf]

If someone will hold the torch, shybolt will move ahead 15 feet or so and scout up the north passage. Before he goes, he will call for silence, wait at the entrance to the passage and listen carefully then move up along the west wall watching the floor carefully for pit traps and such, checking the ceiling for crap that wants to drop on me, and the walls for any obvious doors, alcoves or loose rocks and such. He will listen as he goes as well. He will continue like this until he spies something of interest.

Timorel holds the torch up with his left hand to provide more light and keeps his right on his sword, which is resting against his shoulder.

Grumm will wait for Shybolt to scout ahead.

I'll get an update in tonight.

Doran, as usuall will remain at the back of the party, making sure nothing comes at us from behind.

Sorry about the long delay... it's been a heckuva week.

With Shybolt scouting ahead, the party proceeded up the north corridor. It was quiet as a tomb, save for the sound of water dripping somewhere ahead.

Rounding a corner, Shybolt saw a door before him. He approached it carefully, then looked around the corner and down the passageway, but he saw nothing.
