Out of Character Chat

Dats da Dude! (Not to be confused with the original Dude, the Big Lobowski of course.)
Player: I drink the potion!
DM: Are you sure you want to do that?
Player: Um, no. Maybe, Why, do you think it would be stupid?

OOC: In the old days firemen, upon entering a burning house, would head for the kitchen and grab the milk or cheese from the icebox because the fat would neutralize the burning and acidic smoke in their throats. The lactic acid would also reduce the amount of Carbon Dioxide in the blood stream which causes the headache of smoke inhalation. Just some fun fire facts.

Re: Out of Character Chat
Hey check this out....A few months ago I decided to go on Facebook and friend all of my roleplaying heroes. All the guys who made roleplaying what it was back in the day. So I found Gygax, Elmore, Easley, artists, writers and game designers, just about all of them friended me, but after a few weeks of some, not so Christian banter on a few of their pages, most of them got unfriended. But I kept Ed Greenwood, because I liked reading his posts, I really enjoyed his books back in the day and I think his haircut is pretty cool.
So anyhow, a few weeks ago someone posted a "caption this pic" post and it showed an old pic of Ed doing, well doing something weird. So I, in my usual sarcastic manner, made my comment and moved on. But I won the contest.
The prize....Ed is going to write a short story for me, he asked for a few details of what I want as an outline (I included my two little girls in it as pixies). How cool is that? The other Ed-Philes are all drooling, wanting stories of drow and mages and what not, but I wanted something simple and gave Ed free reign to indulge himself.
I can't wait to read it.

That's cool!
I'm curious, though, how Gygax accepted your invitation. Isn't he DMing on the other side these days?

Yeah but I guess his daughter or son is running his site in memory of him. His boy looks just like him.

Brother Arven votes to be taken to the inn most post haste so that he can be cared for by a lovely and tender young tavern wench. Or short of that, Grumm can tuck him in and tell him bed time stories and give him cookies and milk.

If a cleric does not have material or somantic requirements for his miracles, and effectively they are just unverbalized prayers asking for the powers that be to grant the effect desired, can he pray while in his dream/coma state and heal himself?

And now we are 10' further and faced with another door on Friday the 13th.

Re: Out of Character Chat
The Good Book sayeth that the injured but stabilized character may not move more than a few feet without help, nor fight, nor cast spells, until his or her hit points are again greater than zero. That means that you aren't still losing hit points and you aren't unconscious, but just immobile and weak. You cant cast spells, but you should be able to pray for them. You won't be able to use the spell until your hitpoints are greater than 0. Since none of us have a heal pot, that won't be until after you are rested for a few days depending on how many hp you are below 0.
