Chapter 3: A Dangerous Detour

Since YC will not abandon his friend, he attempts to jam his magic sword in before the door closes.

Holy crabs, Jaali is in deep s**t. That's gonna be fun !

Well, I gave the monk an attack roll to do that, and he suceeded.

Dude, it's quite a heavy stone door. It's actually much heaver than it seemed when you opened it. Maybe something has shifted. The sword will quite likely break if you leave it there. It's in there now. It's making an item saving throw...

(Never made one of these before)

Ir rolls a 2. The sword takes 5hp damage and bandes as the door closes on it.

You want to try to pull it out or are you leaving it in there?

AIIEEEEIEEEE! What are you DOING? WE HEAD A DEAL!

With that, the sword breaks. The door turns out to be a very heavy block of stone that was carefully weighted to swing open but has now clunked back into place. The sword cracks in two. The sword handle is on the inside of the room. The other characters see the blade of it fall down in to the first room in front of them.

The monk looks grey. He has broken his promise to keep the sword on the journey to Salaya. Will he fall from the path of the Great Way? It doesn't seem so, thus far...

Jaali and YC are in the 20' room. The door is closed completely.

I will map this later on today or tomorrow.

YC takes the sword hilt and puts it in his pack.

Master, forgive me.

"At last we are freed of that chatterbox." Kanya says smugly. She will look for a way to reset the door.

Do we have light in there ? If not, Jaali will try to find a torch and his flint & steel in his backpack as quickly as possible.
