Re: Out-of-Character Chat
I like Iain's suggestion. The other alternative would be to put them at the minimum XP for their most expensive class to meet lowest character level - that'd put them better than halfway to level 2 - assuming the whole party is level 2 at that point.
Iain's is nicer though - particularly given that Mandross is half a season (at best) away from level 2.

Re: Out-of-Character Chat
Any characters getting a share of treasure would be wise to spend most of their gold on XP right away (as we are between adventures and in civilization). Who knows when the option is available again, and we all know that the rate of xp acquisition is not quick in PbP.
Once division of treasure is settled, Nivek will likely spend his spare $$ on xp.

Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

Re: Out-of-Character Chat
Mmm, how much down time are we taking in-game between adventures?
Re: Out-of-Character Chat
Either way, you get the gist of it. Basically, I want to keep all party members at a similar, slowly increasing level so that the campaign evolves. But, equally, there should be no benefit in dying in terms of a player's character level or xp total.Joe the Rat wrote:I like Iain's suggestion. Did you ever figure how much xp doughbert has gained since I started playing him? I think I will keep with him, but he's such an average character that I am thinking about other choices.
Re: Out-of-Character Chat
Doughbert needs 600 xp to level up. I think the ability to heal and the extra HPs will be more useful than a ring of unknown worth or a wagon. Looks like i will be yet just another dirt poor adventurer when we set out a again.SmootRK wrote:Any characters getting a share of treasure would be wise to spend most of their gold on XP right away (as we are between adventures and in civilization). Lack of money is an excellent motivator for adventuring.
