End of round 1 - Milly wakes everyone up, trying to stay in cover.

Round 2 -

The goblin (?) wins initiative and shoots again. It's a better shot but it still misses. Milly realises she has not much idea of where it actually is, at all.

The other 3 spend the end of round 2 getting up, arming up and taking cover. Milly can have an action, or she can stay put, crouched behind trees.

Thann's exceptional hearing can determine that there are more of them further back from the bowman - he can hear movement.

Round 3 - You win. I need an action from Milly for round 2, and then an action from everyone for round 3.

Round 2: Milly will stay put, trying her best to stay low to avoid arrows.

Round 3, Chevo and Cholum will get their shields up and try to spot the assailants. They'll move up just northeast of Milly to place themselves in the line of fire.

Thann will set up near Milly and try to find a shot with his bow, if there is one he'll take it. Milly will stay in cover and try not to panic.

Round 2 - Milly takes cover as requested.

Round 3 - the big lads move out to the north east. Yes, they can see the goblin - and that's definitely what it is. It is atop the rock in Q17. You can reach it and attack it next round.

Thann tries to get a shot and can't quite see the creature - although he is still aware that more are behind it. He is also now aware that there may be one behind the group to the south west, as well. This could be a trap.

End of round 3 - the one with the bow takes a shot - at Cholum - and hits, doing 2 hp damage with the little arrow. Cholum rather easily makes his save vs poison. He feels the sting of the goblin pain poison but it does not affect him at all.

Round 4 - You all get an action. The goblin is in front of the fighters, taking cover behind a rock. You can charge at him and probably kill him.

I need to know if Thann communicates what he knows to the others.

Thann will call out to Chevo and Cholum that he hears something behind them. He will then turn to overwatch the south west in case he sees a target.

Cholum will charge in at the Goblin who shot him, rage in his beard while he swings his mace.

Chevo will support in behind him, on the lookout for more Goblins.

Milly about now is wishing she hadn't scoffed at training with slings while she was younger.

Round 4 -

Cholum clambers up the rock, swings at the goblin and misses.

Chevo goes in much the same way - I've decided he'd attack at the the end of the round because it would be a waste not to. He also misses.

This goblin is quite small and has a shortbow. It does a fighting withdrawl backwards 15 feet after you have attacked it.

In the meantime, 2 larger goblins come running in from the north east and attack you. Their plan is quite dumb, because you have higher ground advantage now that you are on the rock. Cholum is missed. Chevo is hit, and takes SIX hit points. (Sorry. Dice are really not with you here).

Meanwhile Thann looks around and can't see the target. He just heard it trying to be stealthy.

Milly has a vision at this point. She has a 5 second flash of a group of 4 goblins, dressed very badly and looking almost starving, following some tracks through the mud, during the twilight hours. They look like dwarf footprints. It's entirely possible they belong to your group.

Milly can extend this vision for a spell point (she has 4 in in total per day) but it might not lead to very much useful information. It depends on what she tries to do.

In the following round - its Chevo and Cholum on the rock with an advantage to hit the two goblins below, and its Thann still trying to spot the 4th goblin to the south west. Your move. This includes telling me if Milly decides to extend her vision.

Chevo and Cholum will grit their teeth and continue smashing. Each one taking their own Goblin.

Milly will have a go at extending the vision. Perhaps concentrating on the landscape around her that she can see, in an effort to bring the vision closer to the present.
Also if possible, if she can talk whilst having these visions, she'll say in a normal volume voice to Thann near her "I think there are four of them..."

Whether or not Milly could say anything to Thann, Thann will redouble his efforts to find the southern goblin, whispering to Milly "Stay down", before moving silently to the West, trying to catch a glimpse of the last goblin while trying to stay hidden himself.

I just noticed that I forgot to add HP for all of the character profiles except Milly, it isn't a huge deal as they're all first level, but just so you know, as I can't edit the posts on the Characters thread.

Cholum - hits the goblin and does 3hp. It is badly hurt.
Chevo - smashes his goblin and 4 hit points. Also badly hurt.

Their morale roll is just a success and the fight on, hoping to kill you. They look hungry and desperate.

Thann still can't spot the southern goblin. He sneaks off about 15' to the west, failing rather baldy at the stealth roll. An arrow comes flying in his direction from the southern goblin, missing him. He can now make out exactly where the creature is - it broke cover to take a bow shot at him.

Milly spends another spell point trying to extend the vision to a more recent hour- which is more difficult. Her roll is a fail and the vision ends.

Lastly, the two desperate goblins swiong at the dwarves on the rock - Cholum takes a further 3 hp damage (total 5) and Chevo is missed by his goblin. The fourth goblin fires into melee, aiming at Chevo, and misses him as well.

You want to keep fighting? I can redraw the map if you need it but its pretty simple. The two fighters are still on a 2 vs 2 situation with another goblin 20' behind them who is firing into the melee. And Thann now has a shot on the south west goblin, who has a bow and also has good cover. Milly is still well under cover, hoping the others can win this thing.

I don't think a new map will be necessary.

We're in deep now, Chevo and Cholum will continue their onslaught. If they slay their targets they'll hold their shields in the face of the archer goblin's arrows.(purely narrative as I know they can't fight defensively after attacking)

Thann will take the shot, while Milly will remain in cover.

Let's finish this.

Cholum - POW. dead goblin.
Chevo - POW - dead goblin.

The archer's morale falters as his two comrades get smashed to bits, and he turns and flees (60' to the north).

Thann also hits with his bow and hits the bowman down to the southwest. Again, its morale fails. It flees 60'.

You can give chase, or combat over. Milly has no more visions.

We'll count our blessings and let the blighters flee.

Chevo and Cholum will wipe the blood off their weapons. Cholum will search the Goblin corpses.

Chevo: "Is everyone okay?, the little bastard got a decent bite into me..."

"Dammit my Lord! Your father would string me up if I let you get killed out here!" Cholum protests.

Chevo will pull out a bandage and get Thann to help him apply it. Thann will take the job with barely concealed distaste, trying to look excited to patch Chevo up.

Milly will notice Cholum's wounds as well when he returns from searching the goblins and take one of Chevo's bandages to try to patch him up the best she can.

OOC: What time of night is it? We've probably only rested up to a few EPs at this point? I guess if it was Milly's watch the others got around 4 hours of rest.

The group will huddle together until morning, letting Chevo and Cholum take another hour of sleep while Thann keeps watch, holding Cholum's shield, paranoid of arrows coming out of the trees.
