Hit Dice/HP Question

As a player I like "4d6-drop lowest-reroll ones' with max hp and the bleed out rule (to -10), but I have also enjoyed playing "play what you roll" games as well. One of my favorite PCs ever was a 3 hp thief. The thing about games like BF, basic/expert d&D, LL, etc is that having PC's being one shot is not a game design flaw. Its actually a way to teach beginning players to play smart and not treat every situation like you are a hammer in search of a nail.
