Chapter Three: Into the Fweth Tunnels

Elizabeth leaps into action. Using the halberd's reach to keep her attackers at bay, she fights defensively (hah!) while William takes out the ant-men with his barrage of arrows and Aldrone with his powerful magic. She will do her best to get the attention of all of the ant-men.

She has an odd thought too... paladins are known for inspirational battle cries. She vows that she'll need to think of some... next time.

Edward brings up his shovel in a defensive posture unsure of what to do? Why is all this animosity breaking out here. He doesn't want to hurt anyone, but then he doesn't want to be hurt either. Nor does he want his new friends hurt. He will step forward and brandish his shovel,

"BACK! Back, ya beast! Back! I warn ya!"

He will not go on the attack, but if he is attacked he will fight defensively (I assume that we are using the supplemental defensive fighting rule that gives a +4 to AC if I don't try to hit my opponent).

William was ready and had beaded on to the creatures. He'll shoot the nearest enemy as soon as they start moving towards us, then keep shooting, provided it doesn't risk hitting a friend.

[Hywaywolf]

Edward looks depressingly at the departing ant-thing and wonders how many friends they might have.

[Woe]

"William! Shoot the runner!" cries Elizabeth, furiously attempting to fend off swords, mandibles, and whatever else comes her way.

[Longman]

[OOC] Hmmm. Good idea but I did already say I shot the closest one. We'll see what Mint says happened.]

[Woe]

What? You're not shooting with two arrows at a time? What kind of archer are you?!

((it will depend on initiative order. If Bethie gets init before Willie then Edwards depression may just turn to the sadness for the loss of life of a living being.))

Alrone will step forward and cast light on the escaping insect to blind them.
