Re: Part Four: New Beginnings
Lys attempts to draw back into the shadows and find herself a tree branch she can use as a blunt weapon.
Re: Part Four: New Beginnings
Haldor draws back one hand and places the other in front of him, bending his knees he begins to mumble occult sounding words and wiggles his fingers dramatically swaying to and fro. Without warning he starts to jump up and down his white star spangled cloak twisting around him and his wizarding hat seeming miraculously staying on his head. His movements become more erratic by the second. Haldor the stops his hands stretched out to the sky and shouts SLEEP!!.
"If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants."
Re: Part Four: New Beginnings
The attackers moved quickly, faster than the companions. One swung at
Gerald with a mace, and smashed Gerald's chest hard. Blood begin the soak through Gerald's cloak and robes. Gerald cursed loudly, and struggled to wrench out his saber, but his hand got tangled in his bloody robes. A second miscreant aimed for Gerald, slicing in an curving arch with a short, jagged blade. The blade cut into Gerald's cloak, but missed its mark. The last of the fell trio wielded a black scimitar, which glistened in the moonlight. The blade lashed out towards Akarrus, just barely ripping across his abdomen. Blood began to leak out, and Akarrus could feel his stomach turning. He ripped his bow out and gritting his teeth, he fit an arrow to his bow and shot. His arrow flew off into the grass (-1 arrow from your sheet, Nightwulf), leaving the rogue untouched. The cloaked figure laughed, a cruel sound. Lys drew back under the shelter of the trees' shadows and frantically searched for a broken branch on the ground. Alas, none were in sight, for the trees were lush and healthy in the fullness of summer. Haldor begun to mutter in a queer tongue, and then started to dance. It was an erratic choppy dance, like that of a man possessed. He spun about, all the while muttering, nay chanting, louder and louder. At last he leaped into the air, pirouetted, and falling back down to the ground (landing on his feet of course) he shouted (in Elvish) "Sleep!" The scimitar-wielding foe trembled, and then collapsed to the ground, in some sort of trance-like state. The other two assailants looked towards Haldor. One turned back to Gerald, who was still recovering from watching Haldor dance, which had had a strange effect on those watching, inducing drowsiness. The combatant swung his mace at Gerald, but Gerald stumbled out of the way at the last moment, almost unintentionally it seemed. The other villain strode towards Haldor, his jagged blade in hand, swinging rhythmically to his footsteps. His face could not be seen, but he emanated a sense of palpable rage.

Re: Part Four: New Beginnings
Seeing that there are no branches lying about Lys frantically looks for a largish rock to throw.
Re: Part Four: New Beginnings
Akarrus through sheer strength of will forces his pain to the back of his mind.He draws and throws one of his knives aiming for the hooded man's throat.

Haldor will rush forwards at the unconscious man and club him over the head with his ever present silver tipped walking staff.

Re: Part Four: New Beginnings
Lys spotted a stone in her search, and quickly scooped it up. Akarrus launched his knife into the air. It flew straight on, and embedded itself in the shadowed area under the attacker's hood. The figure stumbled back, but regained it's footing. Haldor brought his staff down on the head of the fallen figure, and there was a sickening crunch. Blood began to pour out onto the ground from under the hood. (SerGavin, give Haldor 100XP). Gerald brought his scimitar up, and aimed for the third hit man. The blade whistled through the air in an arc as he swung it, but the thug leaped away, and kept his head.

Re: Part Four: New Beginnings
Lys throws her stone as hard as she can at one of the attackers not on the ground.
