Part Four: New Beginnings

"I am Gerald." The man replies to Akarrus' question. "An adventure of some repute. I'm sure you have heard of me, have you not?" He asks.

[Nightwulf]

"Hile and well met Adventurer Gerald."Akarrus says

"Ah yes, Akarrus I presume?" Gerald says.

[Nightwulf]

"So you've heard of me.Why have you brought us here?"Akarrus asks

[-1warrior]

Gerald leans in close as he begins to speak "I wish for you to join me on an adventure. I search for the fabled City of Diamonds. It is said to be found somewhere within the Ruined Lands. If you went with me on this noble quest, you would gain an equal share of any treasure gained (he indicates all three of you when he says this). So what say you, kindly folk?"

You can barely see under his hood when he leans in. He has the look of a man in his thirties. Brown, curly, and well-kept hair streams down to his shoulders, and a beard and mustache adorn his face (both brown as well). His eyes are narrowed, with green pupils barely visible. Gerald rest his hand on his hip as he speaks, pushing his cloak in far enough to reveal the shape of a long, curved blade at his side. Gerald speaks with a slight accent, which only Akarrus notices.

Haldor, pulling down his hood and putting on his white star speckled wizard hat, walks closer to Gerald saying " well, I for one am up for a spot of adventuring!! count me in." and then looks enquiringly at his fellow companions, reaching down one hand to his pipe and the other to his tobacco bag, He then lights his pipe and begins smoking.

"I shall join the money will suit me well."

[-1warrior]

"Very good" Gerald said "Now..." Before he could finish, three cloaked figures detached themselves from the circle of shadow surrounding the clearing, and rushed towards the companions. Moonlight reflected off of blades in their hands.

Akarrus acting quickly removes his bow and fires at the closest opponent.
