But seriously I like the idea about exp. maybe even 3000? Dimirag earlier posted an idea that I like " AB: As monster ST: As fighter" and black1blade have you read the ideas like the penalties for not fighting together.

I also like another of his proposed ideas: animal senses surprised on a 1 and animal reflexes +2 to save v death ray.

Yeah I have but I haven't really looked through them. Anyway, I think if a fighter ab table would be okay because if you had +2 strength bonus you would get a +2 to your attack rolls. Also for the separation idea, maybe a -1 on all rolls and maybe ac for every 100 feet there apart?

I rolled up a character for both the wolf and the human and for the human. I got:

Str. 8
Dex 13
Int 18
Wis 17
Con 15
Char 7

And I'm not to sure. I think AB for the companion would make more sense as monster per HD.

So let's give the example as a wolf and his bonded partner at level 6. The Druid has began to gain several wolffish features like more elongated canines, a bit more hairy overall and a very compelling craving for raw meat and the ability to eat it. The Druids hair has turned the colour of the wolves coat and if different their eyes have become the same colour.

The wolf attacks as a 6 hit dice monster giving that attack bonus and has so far had a plus two to intelligence. Overall the wolfs intelligence can not go over two thirds +1 the Druids intelligence but will reach that by level 10.

What! It only counts if you roll them in front of me the DM! Anyway I drafted up a spell list, the spell progression would be similar to the jesters. They could also be innate like the jesters.
level 1
Cure Light Wounds*
Detect Magic
Detect Snares and Pits

level 2
Warp Wood
Heat Metal
Find Traps

level 3
Water Breathing
Call Lightning
Cure Disease

level 4
Cure Serious Wounds*
Protection From Lightning
Lower Water

level 5
Lower Water
Flame Strike
Dispel Evil

Additionally the Druid May receive a minus one to charisma due to his more wolffish traits and the wolf gets a plus one due to it being more used to people and completely trusting the Druid.

Hmm, I was thinking access to all spells that don't involve animals or trees and they get spells as a Druid two levels lower cutting off the level six spells. For example a level 6 Druid would have spells as per a level four Druid.

I think that would be a bit too much as the animal companion is already quite powerful.
