Chapter 2:Taking the Offensive

((I was roleplaying as well. Just because you are a paladin doesn't mean you have to be stupid haha, a little anti-paladin humor. I assume that Paladins are efficient warriors and know about being outnumbered and using surprise attacks.))

"Perhaps we could topple it on the way back after we have destroyed the evil lurking beyond?"

"That object is not beautiful at all; it deserves to be destroyed. However I fear that we shouldn't waste time and continue to our goal."

[Woe]

"Aye, Boldol, that's a good suggestion too. Let us see whether the GM believes it is easily toppled before we depart. Else, destroying this icon will wait for another day."

OOC: A lot of it depends on what "large" means. A large 6' statue is probably toppled quickly, whereas the Colossus of Rhodes might take a while.

Boldol perks up from his daydreaming on mention of his name.

"What suggestion? Oh that's a nasty statue that is. I say we keep moving for the time being."

OOC: Oops, confused Boldol with our priestess.

Even though it is worn and weathered the statue is much too large and sturdy to be easily toppled.

You quickly scout the immediate area and locate what looks to be a foot worn path leading east (the way the statue is pointing) but you can't see anything resembling a temple or even ruins within your line of sight.

It is dusk and you're not sure how much farther it might be to the temple. Do you camp for the night or try to press on?

I think camping will be wise. We should found an elevated location thats easily defended and prepare ourselves to search for the temple tomorrow.
