"It doesn't sound like a wraith to me. Being killed by an unrequited love sounds more like a ghost. And my mother always said the way to deal with a ghost is to put things right for it in the world of the living. Does Dhree still live?"

Raising an eyebrow at Opyeen and his fanfare way of speaking Mirt quickly raises his hands Charitable? Well that's not a word I use often, almost never in fact. Hmmmm let's get a glass of wine, on me, and we'll see if we can't come to an arrangement. He leads the elf over to a small bar top table and after the wine is delivered It sounds to me as if you feel as if you need new spells but don't have the funds for training? So lets get too business. How much do you need and when do you plan to pay it back?

Jysteen smiles slightly, her white teeth a stark contrast to her black skin Prydwyn sent you over here for something extra did he? Come inside and tell me what you need while I gather his tea. The inside of the shop is well taken care of and orderly. Out back is an extensive garden where she apparently grows her exotic herbs. So tell what it is you need...... mmmm, what was your name?

Balmorea starts a bit at Hermias suggestion. That's about the right if it. The ghost doesn't hurt anyone. Doesn't attack or anything he just causes a disturbance that has become increasingly irritating. Our best guess is that he's looking to end his torment but is unsure how. He pulls a map from a scroll case and points out a spot. He's always seen in this three block area out in the dock ward. Its a nasty place during the day and something much worse at night. Glancing at Hermia No one knows if she's still alive or can confirm that she died. The only indication we have that something us amiss is this ghostly paladin type running around at night. What do you think? Can your company do this for us?

"well, Mert," says Oypeen. "If I were home and had access to my family funds, I would go for broke and pick up a couple offensive spells and all of the housekeeping spells I could get. That would be 2,700 gold just for me. I have a compatriot that is in the same boat. Worst case scenario I would need 1,000 gold just for one spell. Middle ground would be 1,700 gold."

Oypeen pauses, counts on his fingers as if he is counting off spells needed, then continues.

"Yes, that should do it for me. We would need that for two people. And to pay it back, well we are going back down into Undermountain and we'll take it from the beasties down there. We already have a line on two potential treasure troves."

"My apologies, Rykken Steelchanter", he bows graciously. "I, and my company, Carnage of Steel, have just returned from a foray into Undermountain and I am in need of an extra spell, or two. You come highly recommended by Prydwyn."
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

Balmorea smiles and hands the map over to Hermia. Excellent! The waxing moon is two days away. Your best chance to actually see the knight is that night. You've got some time. Come back here when you are done. With that he leaves the two adventurers.

2700 gold?! You must think pretty highly of your chances to return from the dungeon well loaded with treasure. Humph.... Mirt rubs his chin for a few seconds in thought. I can do 1800 gold at a 50% return on investment from you. I'll hand you the gold and you get your spells and bring me 2700 gold or that value in items. Appraised by my people of course. He sticks out his hand. Deal?

"Carnage of Steel will get the treasure," Oypeen says to Mirt, "but I don't know about 50% return and we would need to have our appraisers involved in any valuing of treasure, as well. I will need to discuss this with my companions as we all share equaling in risk and reward. Where may I contact you once we have discussed your offer?"

(Sorry I missed this one Blaze)

Highly recommended? I'm hoping he told you about the limitations and discretion. Her tea gathering done she pulls a plain leather bound book from amongst several cook books and passes it to the erstwhile mage. Take a look and tell me how many you can see. Rykken opens the small book and is astounded to see that this isn't a spell book at all but a catalogue of hundreds of known spells. Each is written so that only when he is able to actually cast the spell is he able to read the title. Some are clear but written in different languages. Tell me which you wish to be taught and I'll let you know if I have access to them. If I don't I'm sure I know someone who does. Oh and I'm guessing you'll want to bring the other spell caster with you? Might be a bit tense, that book is bound in elf. Not my doing but it was done by mg people.

(OOC- in your hands are all the spells in the core rules plus the zero level ones in tfe supplement along with some others that I'll pull from a couple other sources. You cab read up to what you can cast.)

Oh I'll be around. See me here after your discussion. He drains his wine and waltzes out the front door.

Sturm begins to feel the effects of the strong Dwarven Ale combined with the exhaustion that comes after a long day of fighting. He rises a bit unsteadily and thanks Kallas for the company and the ale before heading back up to his room. He knows the rest of the CoS team is out and about taking care of various business, but right now the only thing that sounds good is a feather bed. He closes the door to his room behind him, takes off his armor, and even as tired as he is, spends a few minutes wiping down and oiling his armor armor and mace. Once that's done he crawls into bed and is soon fast asleep..

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

(OK at this point my only goal is to heal up. I don't want to blow a potion on this so I'm just going to do it naturally. So I'm planning on just hanging around the Tavern, talking with the locals until I am back to full HP and the rest of the party is ready to head back into adventuring. Feel free to RP me wherever you need Jan)
