Hi, I'd really like to get into a BFRP game and learn the system. I'm coming back to rpgs after about 20 years and although I'm currently involved in a 2e game on another site [http://www.rpgcrossing.com/forumdisplay.php?f=12254 (my character is Gethyan the ranger)], there's something about these "retro-clones" that really makes me happy. BFRP seems to have the most high-quality free resources of all of them, at least of the ones that I have seen so far.
I'd be more than happy to play a solo adventure, as I like to write and really get into my character and the story. Also other interested players can post here and maybe we can find a DM. I enjoy lots of exploration, usually with lawful/neutral good characters of the fighter variety (including subclasses). I'm open to unusual settings and genre hybrids (weird west, science fantasy, etc). I can post every day.
Thanks!

Re: Anyone willing to DM a PbP?
I'm in the middle of moving/remodling a house. I should be freed up in a couple of weeks. I run a game over at rpol.net called "Remnants of the Forge". I have a cleric player and a half-orc fighter character that may bow out due to RL issues. It's been super slow due to my predicament, but I'll be back soon. So in short, if you're interested in the near future, I'd be happy to carve you a place in that game. It is going to be a sweet & sour game, that is, light and casual and gritty at the same time. I inherited the game when the GM poofed out and so the game is very young, so integrating a new char wouldn't be a problem.
Once I get my move done, if there is sufficient interest, I would consider starting a second party. At any rate, keep in touch with me.

Thanks, Delver. I've sent you a PM.
The thread's still open since I'd probably be willing to take up another game.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Anyone willing to DM a PbP?
I had wanted to start a game over on http://www.tavern-keeper.com to test out that site but it didn't work out.
I am planning to reboot and try running a game here after Christmas so I'll be looking for players then.

The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

But of course.

If you're still interested in the character I had over there when you reboot, let me know. Thanks.
