r30, done:

Table of Contents: Siege Engines entry has a rogue "New Items" entry. Running the "Update Index" command fixes it, as well as a few other entries.

Page 44: Header has "SEIGE ENGINES", should be "SIEGE ENGINES"

Page 14 font issues:
- In Silk Rope description, "above" in the last sentence is in Soutane instead of Soutane BF.
- In "Outdoors" section, the "is" after "Air Bladder" is bolded in the first sentence.
- In Outdoors section, third line, "their" is still in Soutane.

Page 15 font issues:
- final sentence of Trap description: "their" is in Soutane

Page 19: In the Alchemy lab section, is "some" in "creating potions and some magic item creation" meant to be italicised? Sure, it adds emphasis, but in other parts of the book bold text is used for emphasis. See for example "(not magical)" in the Books & Tomes section on the same page.

Page 19, Musical instruments: Should "Small Winds" be "Small Wind Instruments"?

Page 20 font issues:
- Barrette: "person's hair with" is all in Soutane
- Circlet: double space between "is a" and "small" in "is a small crown"
- Monocle: this paragraph is 9pt, smaller than the rest at 9.5pt.

Page 24: "Hats & Headcover" reads better as "Hats & Headcovers". If changed, the heading on page 25 should also change to match.

Page 25 Soutane font: "their" in the Headband description.

Page 27:
- "Kilts are a kind of skirt" has a double space after kilts.
- Trousers or Trews: The sentence "Trousers or Trews are a garments..." should lose the "a".
- Trousers or Trews: The sentence "Trews are tighter fitting than trousers but still looser than leggings and are plaid like kilts" is missing a full stop.
- Trousers or Trews: The sentence "The plaid pattern is again" has a double space before "is".
- Shoes: Rogue Soutane font in "allows a Thief a better"
- Snowshoes: Rogue Soutane font "their"

Page 33, homing pigeon: double space after "Homing Pigeon"

Page 41, galleys: double space after "to" in "but need to anchor near a shore".

Page 42, longship last sentence: double space after "expensive" in "is expensive with not much".

Page 42: I think "There are two basic versions of Sail: square and triangular." should have "Sails" plural.

Page 45: Soutane font "their" in Piece Mail Armor section.

Page 47: I agree that "+3 Frying Pan of Doom" should be "Frying Pan of Doom +3"

Numbered page references to other books that I could find:
- Page 3, the ** note for table at bottom right
- Page 4, bottom of first column
- Page 8, Bola
- Page 28 Storage and Containers table note
- Page 32: 3 numbered page references at bottom of second column (crocodilian, dog, ferret)
- Page 32, Sheep (Ram) has numbered reference to Field Guide 1
- Page 33: Rat, Snakes (adders, constrictors, nonpoisonous), turtles
- Page 44: entangling weapons
- Page 47: First sentence under page heading

no Sail is the correct word, you could use sails as it's ok English, but sailors will laugh at you ;)

Announcing!

Basic Fantasy Equipment Emporium, Release 31 -- May 29, 2023
Now, this is a print release candidate. Thanks to quick work by James Lemon and Daniel Collins, I believe most of the issues previously noted have been resolved. Check it out and let me know on the forum if you find any problems!

Status: Done.
Found in R31 while reading my shiny new Amazon paperback. Confirmed in the PDF.

Words in wrong font:
- Page 18, Wizard's Wares, first paragraph, "their".
- Page 19, Wizard's Wares, in "The initial spellbook of a Magic-User is given as a gift from their instructors." - "their" is in the wrong font. I know we picked up a lot of these earlier, but somehow this instance made it through.
- Page 24, Individual Items table, Personal effects, in "Belt hook or Ring" - "Ring" is in the wrong font.
- Page 25, "is" in "A Hook or Ring is"

Other:
- Table of contents needs to be updated. Some of the later items have the wrong page number shown. For example, EQUIPMENT has page 46 in the TOC, but it's actually on page 45.
- Page 23, Noble's Finery: "Opulent" doesn't look like it should be capitalized.
- Page 26, body: "A Hose is a tight-fitting footed legging that come up to the crotch". "come" should be plural.
- Page 29, Crates: "have a space of ¾ to 1.5 inches" - the mix of fractional and decimal measures is jarring.
- Page 41, Wagon: "4' to 6' high" is nicer as "4 to 6 feet high".
- Page 45, "Whips and chains 3' or longer" is nicer as "Whips and chains 3 feet or longer".

There are other instances of inconsistent use of ' and feet, but I wasn't specifically reading for that.

I've attached an edited ODT with track changes on. I have all the fonts installed and unlike the core rules, this document doesn't seem too sensitive to edits. I've made all changes listed above, as well as fixing a few double spaces and additional font issues only visible in Libre Office. Track Changes is on. The exception is that I've not changed the use of ' and feet. That's a larger stylistic choice best left alone or dealt with in a separate edit.

Yeah the wrong font in a single word is hard to detect. When editing I have to zoom in quite a bit to try to find those kinds of things.

Just realised that by editing my post (2 above this one) rather than making a new post, it didn't bump this thread to the first page. Doing so now so that the uploaded ODT and suggestions can be found when needed.

you know Libre office allows you to find by font?

under find and replace, select attributes, then tick font, then put the font name in the find box, leave the replace box empty unless you are certain of the replacement font and away you go
No matter where you go...there you are
