Correct, if it's from the SRD it's Open Content and not Product Identity, and is eligible for inclusion. While technically allowable, I'd like to see less of the text directly pasted in from the SRD; it just needs a little more massaging, ie put your own personal spin on how you envision the monster, what it looks like, how it moves, it's methods of attacks, etc. Donuts, go nuts 8-)

I forgot that very important detail

Yes understandable, I will rewrite the text as to not be obviously a direct copy/paste. Will try to be keeping as "canon" as possible.... who am I to change a great, long standing monster!
Thanks for the patient guidance guys, I'm sure this advice is already posted somewhere i should have read.

Looks like it'd be from this page, section 15.

https://www.d20srd.org/ogl.htm

Some of the more common lines may be already in our FG3 OGL, we'd just have to include the others. Don't worry about that, we'll take care of it whenever your entry is included in the next FG3 release. 8-)

I think its name should also be change since its on the d20srd...
Maybe something like Chhul, Chull, Chuhl, or whatever you feel like naming it.

I believe that we can use OGL/srd content without too much change as long as the legal stuff is correctly done

Excellent idea. Name changed to "chuhl" so it should be found relatively easily.

I'd like to use one of the monsters found in BFFG 3 (Fungisoid) in an adventure I'm developing. When I eventually post the adventure, how do I cite a monster from this Guide? Reference it as if it's published? Or do I just include the monster in the adventure, like in a "New Monsters" section?
Also, fwiw in the adventure I altered the XP stat in the monster block because I think it needs a Special Ability Bonus.

Yes, as it's published. Include this line in your OGL, below the BFRPG game and above your adventure name line:
The Basic Fantasy Field Guide 3 Copyright © 2017-2020 James Lemon, Chris Gonnerman, & Contributors.

We'll make a note to fix/update the Fungisoid stat-block in the next release.

Technically, it is "published" in the sense of "released." Many game materials are released only in PDF, so this is not much different.
