Re: The Dark Temple
Hmm, good point. I assumed the dagger/double dagger were enough; it's why my own adventures never include the asterisk after the name. Mainly, I just don't care for how it looks; since the information is presented as the very next data point (the AC score), I generally omit the asterisk.
I am open to discussion though.

Re: The Dark Temple
I have to admit I forgot about that; you're correct that the single/double dagger is indeed sufficient. I think that's how it should be done (both in docs and the style guide).
But, now that makes me wonder why have an asterisk on the name at all (in core and field guides), if the daggers show the same information (if the reason is anything besides that's the way B/X did it...).

Re: The Dark Temple
You hit the nail on the head. It's the only reason I do it.
Technically, any monster that has special requirements to kill (which a random party can't always fulfill) should get this mark.

Re: The Dark Temple
It not only could be confused with Al's entry, it could potentially confusingly point back to CS1. I'm leaning towards changing it to the dark temple (capitalized or not).Solomoriah wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2019 11:13 pmGood point. Chi, what do you think about this? I'm on the fence.

Re: CS2 The Dark Temple
Yes, I think several of the authors were thinking that this adventure is a next-door neighbor to the Castle by the Sea... But it's understandable.

Thanks to whomever added the room descriptions for my entry!

I did some of them, but I don't think I did them all.

Re: CS2 The Dark Temple
Here are some things that I had questions about:
Should the Animated Armor (Horror Within – Room 21), Flashbags and Awful Offal (Three Days of Peace and Music) be added to the Basic Fantasy Field Guide Volume 3 since they are new monsters?
Page 44 – Three Days of Peace and Music – 16a. OUBLIETTE (upper)
The Yellow Mold in the room doesn’t have any HP blocks.
Also the AC is given as a 17 when the description in the Basic Fantasy Core Rules is “Can always be hit”.
Page 50 – Three Days of Peace and Music – 33 Grand Hall – 2nd paragraph after 2nd text box.
Which word is better; apprehended or comprehended?
Currently:
The swirling apparition on the far wall is the gate, and the strange thing seen within is Vheld’broggn itself, although its full form can not yet be apprehended.
Should be?

Does each module need the maps for Rooms 17 and 18 or can they be included in the maps at the end of the book?
Can room numbers be added to Pytheas map so we know that Rooms 17 and 18 are in the foreground and 16a and 21 are at the back of the map?
