Re: Player Characters
Tam "Redeye" Ruthis
First level fighter
0 XP
Tam is tall and muscular, which unfortunately meant he was noticed by a recruiter and press-ganged into the Urdish Imperial Army.
As he is too smart for grunt work but not wise enough to keep his mouth shut, he did not have an easy time as a soldier.
Being a surly loner who does not make friends easily did not help either.
Tam took his chance to abscond when he was assigned as guard to a navy transport fetching galley slaves from Ravenstone.
He would have had no chance to desert while the ship stayed in the heavily guarded harbor.
Fortunately for him, the ship got into bad weather on the trip back and was wrecked on a rocky beach in Ravenstone bay.
In the ensuing chaos, instead of preventing the slaves from escaping, Tam decided to leave himself.
He made his way back to Ravenstone on land and has since kept to the poor quarters where soldiers from the Empire are rarely found.
Tam has changed his appearance by letting his brown hair and beard grow long and dressing like a local.
He also gives his last name as Redeye, a childhood nickname he got when suffering from an eye infection.
His Urdish accent or the army issue shortsword he still keeps among his belongings could give him away, though.
While he still has some money to support himself, Tam is eager to find a job.
His gruff personality and a mild paranoia about imperial spies have kept him so far from finding employment.

BACKGROUND
A long time resident and orphan of the poor district of Ravenstone, Benn grew up on the streets in a ragtag band of urchin misfits. Unlike many of his accomplices in those early days, Benn managed to always slip away from right under the authorities noses not through wit but simple skill honed on the hard streets.
Growing up in a slaver city has made Benn largely complicit and okay with the trade despite having known several of his urchins being sold off to far away Novatia. Indeed, his most recent line of work he had managed to procure was ensuring proper shackling for slaves on ships, a risky job since slaves tend to get a bit aggressive with their handlers in those sort of situations. Still, the job paid well enough for Benn, nicknamed "Sable" after his dark locks of hair, to stay drunk and and clothed.
He's not the sharpest dagger, always mouthing off when not wanted to, but he is generally an amiable fellow and the one in the bar most often kicking off a song or two before passing out black drunk.

Re: Player Characters
So we have a fighter who is a deserter from Urd, a thief who used to help sell slaves to Urd and an assassin of unknown background.
This will be most interesting.

Vrack's Background (of sorts)
Vrak Cen (pronounced "Sen") is an enigma. While not short, he appears taller than average. He is thin, yet possess a wiry build and an unexpected strength. He dresses in Urdish leather armor, but his accent is clearly Ravenstone. He wears a pair of spectacles meant for desert travel; his victims cannot see his eyes behind the darkened lenses. He is both a procurer of slaves and captor of those who flee.

Re: Player Characters
We are certainly lacking in the spellcasting department, so a cleric or illusionist would help a lot. And more grunts are always useful, maybe a barbarian?bhyeti wrote:We're not done yet!

Re: Player Characters
Agreed. Definitely a magic user. We can forego the cleric so long as we have some healing potions...
