Arriving back at the inn, the companions see a group of several travelers entering it. Lights glow from within the common room, and various sounds drift out.

Within the common room, various patrons are seated at tables and the bar. A pair of servers move about the room, carrying food and drink. The innkeeper is busy bar tending behind the counter. Things seem to have picked up quickly now that the evening has arrived.

After entering the common room, Arkus moves away from the door to a shady spot to survey the other customers. He tries to tell the locals from the foreigners, the rich from the poor, and the respectable citizens from the rogues.

Barros will move to the bar to get an Ale. If there are other Patrons at the bar, he will linger at the bar and see if he can over hear in interesting news from the travelers. But if he doesn't he will move to retire to the room for the evening after his Ale is gone.

Phelan will take a seat at an empty table if one is available.

From what Arkus can tell, the people in the room are a mix of villagers, and travelers. Most of the travelers seem to be merchants or citizens from other villages. No one stands out as particularly shadowy or roguish. Arkus does notice a couple of what appear to be men-at-arms sitting at two different tables, each of which is occupied by a small group of merchants.

Arriving at the bar and getting William's attention, Barros is able to get a tankard of ale after a few moments. He sits down at one of the few empty stools at the bar, he nurses his drink while listening to the conversation of the other folk at the bar.

There are five others besides Barros sitting at the bar. Three appear to be common villagers, either from Epiceadale, or one of the other nearby settlements. They are focuses on their meals and their drinks before them, and not making conversation.

The other two folk at the bar seem to be traders, come to the village for the festival. They are conversing with each other. From what Barros can hear, they seem to be discussing the business that they are planning to do at the festival. From this, he is able to glean that they are cloth merchants, and have reserved a small stand belonging to one of the villagers to use at the festival.

Phelan manages to find a small empty table in a corner, which she takes a seat at.

With nothing much to be heard at the bar, Barros will make his way through the common room to the table where Phelan is at to see if the others rejoin them before retiring for the night.

Phelan waits at the table for the others. When she can get the innkeeper's attention, she will order another ale.

Phelan is able to get one of the servers attentions, and her ale arrives several minutes later.

Phelan to Barros:
"Well, things do seem to be picking up around here although these don't look like the adventurous type. It looks like the only work around here is escorting merchants to the festival." She nods towards the men at arms. "I had best sip this ale and make it last as I will soon be sharing drinks with the horses if my purse doesn't get some replenishing."

To Phelan
"I would have to agree with you. There does not seem to be much here for the adventurous spirits, such as ourselves and our companions."

(Barros will nurse his ale for a bit and watch the surrounding people in the Inn's common room and then retire for the evening to the room he has procured.)
