Phelan joins the others.

"It is a humble temple but the village priest, Father Aaron, is a good man."

She beckons to the man behind the bar who she assumes is the innkeeper.

"Some food and drink if you please"

"As far as anything interesting going on, I am afraid things are as quiet as they appear. Besides the upcoming festival, we travelers may be the most excitement this sleepy village has had in quite some time. Father Aaron did seem to suggest that the wilderness surrounding it may not be so peaceful but he did not elaborate more than that."

Hmmmm... well sounds like the surrounding wilderness might be worth a look then, if nothing else pans out. At any rate, glad you have rejoined us, Phelan.

Sounds as if we all should at least get a peaceful nights rest.

William nods to Phelan. "Of course. That'll be four silver. You want ale with for your drink, or something else? We have all manner of liquor, as well as tea if you wish it."

"Alright."

After a couple of minutes, William returns with Phelan's stew and ale.

"Thank you."

Phelan begins to eat and then speaks to the others.

"For a town that is about to have a festival, this inn seems rather empty. Have you been able to glean any information from the innkeeper? I wouldn't mind seeing the celebration but my purse grows lighter each day. Not that a cleric yearns for riches but my hammer does not strike as hard on an empty stomach."

Barros finishes off his Ale, then answers Phelan, "I am afraid the Innkeeper gave the same information as Farther Aaron gave you at the temple. The Innkeeper, William, indicated that this was a peaceful Village, but that he imagined that we could probably find adventure in these parts if we looked hard enough. Given that, and Farther Aaron's comment regarding the local wilderness, makes me wonder if there is something out there they are either unsure of or are unwilling to speak of. What are your thoughts, my friends?"

Cael nods as he continues to eat. "This does seem a little odd to have so empty an inn before a festival. Perhaps we should be a little more, well, guarded? But be that as it may, the people have done little more than that to raise any suspicions so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. As for adventure, on the morrow we could go a-wandering and a-rambling and see what is out and about."

"Hm. The waterfront inns back at home are crowded in the morning and near bursting at any other time of day. So all these country places seem quiet to me. But you may be right."

Arkus gets up and casually walks over to the innkeeper:

"Good sir, permit me a few questions about the harvest festival.
When does it start in earnest and how long does it last?
Is it a local thing or do people come from further away?
If I may say so, your business does not seem very brisk today."
