Color picture of a Wanderwood
Yes, they are little Ents. But these guys like to mix it up with the younger races.

Re: Color picture of a Wanderwood
Shouldn't this go in the Artwork section?
Sorry for any misspelling or writing error, I am not a native English speaker

Just wondering if anyone liked the picture.
Or is it too cartoony?

Although I do not generally critique other folks for their art because I am artistically challenged overall, but I have to say that I don't particularly care for this one.teaman wrote:Just wondering if anyone liked the picture.

Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?
Re: Color picture of a Wanderwood
Like Smoot I can't really criticize as I can't draw at all.
I think it's close to what I'd envision, but there's a few things I'd tweak. First, the facial expression and looking directly at the viewer, it's kinda creepy. Also, for being a smaller ent-like creature the trunk seems a little too large in diameter; to go along with that the very small bushel of leaves just looks more like a "afro of nature" rather than the natural branches and leaves associated with ents. I do like the use of color, but maybe lean closer to more contrast and darker colors; this seems a little too "cheery".

Pfft. Looks good to me. Though a little more greenery might make it more impressive.

Re: Color picture of a Wanderwood
Hey, I asked for it.
Thanks for the kind words (Solomoriah) and the critiques (other folks). Though I don't think I'm going to change it at this point. These things take longer than people might think. If you use the race, feel free to substitute an image that works better for you.
I think the race would work well in a wilderlands kinda campaign. Druids, rangers, ents. Protectors of the Wild or something.

Re: Color picture of a Wanderwood
It feels kind of Oz-y to me. But I love Oz, so that's a good thing.
Re: Color picture of a Wanderwood
Thanks LibraryLass, I spent TONS of time in the Oz books (all 14) when I was a young'un.
At least he didn't end up like the tree from H.R. Pufnstuf/
I still get nightmares about that Liza Minelli frog.
And Liza Minelli.
