(Hey, sorry I lost track of this... very busy.)
If Hamish thinks he can free his spear and regain his feet, he does so; if not, he draws a dagger and begins stabbing the bear, preferably in a soft spot.

Re: Chapter 2: The Journey to Lakeford
The main reason I went with this is because the bear was rather focused on Hamish gutting its mate. It was more of a "move silently and try not to be noticed," and I decided to use the worse of the two percentages to cover it.Hywaywolf wrote:((you were probably simply houseruling it to find a way to rule on it, but hide only works if you aren't moving)
The bear went sideways as it fell past, leaving Hamish's spear accessible. Hamish steps back pulls the spear free, then lunges forward thrusting the spear into the bear's neck as is rears up. The bear makes a horrible gurgling growl, then falls to the ground (7 damage).Solomoriah wrote:(Hey, sorry I lost track of this... very busy.)

Combat's over. You are now the proud owners of two dead bears.
Go with a smile!

Saeloria yawns and looks around, "Well, I don't know about the rest of you but I'm going back to bed. I need some more sleep to replenish my spells." With that she heads back into the cave and snuggles back into her bedroll.
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

Hamish cleans his weapon, then resumes sleeping without further ado.
