How far are the lumbering shapes from Selene and how fast are they moving?

Muddle sleeps the sleep of the innocent without a care in the world.

They're moving fairly slow, like they're trying to find something. At this point it's hard to say (low light plays havoc on depth perception), but they're easily within bowshot.jcm wrote:How far are the lumbering shapes from Selene and how fast are they moving?
They seem to be moving toward the horses.

Sorry for the incremental questions:
1. Can I get some idea of the relative positions of Selene, Bill, the party, the horses, and the lumbering shapes?
2. Around how much time has passed since the watch started?
3. Are the shapes humanoid?
That should be it.

Muddle's eyebrows scrunch as if an unpleasant and fleeting thought ran through his brain. He squirms a little to list his posterior and a long whisper of a squeak escapes from his bowels. The smell soon engulfs the area around him.

Don't give away our position!
Re: Chapter 2: The Journey to Lakeford
I thought about that, but those big 4 legged beasts are probably not finalist in the hide and seek competition.

It never hurts to get more details.jcm wrote:Sorry for the incremental questions:

1. See the attached for the immediate cave. The large slab in front is sort of a "porch" area. It is ground level on the east end, but is about 10' up where the horses are. The light section is the 'cave' interior, where the party is nestled. The figures are coming from the southwest.
Bill is on the East side, you are on the West. Let me know where you'd want to be.
2. This is about two hours into the watch. I'll update the clock next post.
3. Watching carefully, they seem to be moving on all fours - and they're pretty big.
The horses are starting to nicker nervously.

At the sound, the two figures stop for a moment.

OOC: I have not read anything that tells me Galen has been made aware of anything amiss. I assume he is resting still.
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?
