My Wife and I are starting a game

Post by Ogre »

It's a little hard to find time for a group, but we decided we might as well start a game with just the two of us, her playing and myself as game master.

I thought it would be fun to post info and updates here, at least fun for me, if it gets annoying let me know and I will stop :)

So first of all here is her character, after she rolled up her character I constructed this sheet out of two other character sheets.

BFRPG Character Sheet by Phil Morris

and

BFRPG Character Sheet by Jason Brentlinger
(which is a rework of BFRPG Character Sheet by Mike Hill)

I really like it as a very quick reference, and I would adjust it if someone were playing a cleric or fighter or wizard to only include the pertinent info for that class.

It's cutting off part of the character sheet image, You can see the whole thing by right clicking and selecting view image.

Oops, forgot to credit the artist, it's a character portrait by Tony DiTerlizzi when wotc released character portraits in Dragon.

I am def. interested to hear updates on how this goes. I'd really like to try a solo game with my wife, but I'd have to reeeeally work hard to keep her interest. :) But she does watch Star Trek and Dr. Who, so she can't deny she's already a nerd. ;)

Sounds like fun. I don't know if you know this but Solomoriah wrote a one-person adventure for his daughter. I can't remember the name at the moment.

I tried the same thing with my wife. Didn't happen. I'll be watching this for ideas.

So this escalated to an online game on roll20 with my Wife, one of my best friends and his wife, and two more of my best friends who are brothers.

We have only played once so far but it was really cool getting to play again with some old friends.

online games can get pretty close to that tabletop in person feel.
