As does Galen, lifting spirits with the occasional camp tune, while attending various chores.Hywaywolf wrote:Muddle follows along
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

The various beasts and henchfolk follow as well.jcm wrote:Selene follows.
The "cave" itself is deep enough for the party, sans horses, to fit into comfortably (if a bit low on clearance). the floor is granite, with a fair bit of dead leaves and blown in dirt. There's a decent sized "porch" of open stone at the mouth. Poking around, it looks like animals have used this cave for shelter in the past, but no signs or smells of recent habitation.
There is a bit of a hollow on the south that Bill likes for the horses, and sees about hobbling them for the night. Bill also is willing to keep watch with Selene, and Oleg mumbles something about wanting to start cooking early.

Hamish chooses whatever spot looks least uncomfortable and takes it for himself, and without further ado lays down to sleep.

Selene takes a light meal of any provisions available, just enough to not be distracted by hunger pangs on watch. She accepts Bill's offer of keeping watch with her and looks for two spots where they can both keep an eye on the road and each other.

Muddle cuddles up in a warm spot and mumbles his prayers to himself, waiting for a meal.

Saeloria tries to 'clean up' a corner for herself. She looks for a branch or two that she can use as a broom and sweeps as much dirt and debris as she can out of her corner, has a quick meal, and then settles in for the night.
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

Selene and Bill find a couple of nice vantage points among the rocks. It's not uncomfortable, and it affords Selene a view of Bill, the road, and the horses, if she looks backwards.jcm wrote:Selene takes a light meal of any provisions available, just enough to not be distracted by hunger pangs on watch. The woods are eerily quiet this evening, and uneventful for the first couple of hours. An odd brushing sound catches Selene's attention. Following the sound, she sees a couple of large shapes quietly lumbering towards the camp.

Muddle scratches himself in his sleep then snuggles lower into his blanket.
