Muddle snatches up the quiver of bolts and then checks to see if there is a way to jam/bolt/lock the door at the top of the stairs (assuming their is a door at the top of the stairs). If the noises are too close or no way to prevent the door from opening, then muddle will duck back into cover out of site from anyone coming down the stairs.

Hustling about it, Galen will grab the length of wood (club), or a torch if someone else grabs the club first. He will exclaim, "our little fellow here says our gear is in the big room."

Galen resumes speaking in Goblini, "Are there any other ways out of here? Secret doors or chambers?" All the while trying to find some cover to duck under if need be.
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

Hamish takes up a position to one side of the entrance, if at all possible, holding the bar like a quarterstaff and ready to bash the heads of whoever enters the room first.

Starting at the stairs, you hear more shouting from directly behind the door at the top, and the handle rattles. You won't have time to reach it.

The bottom half of the staircase is exposed to the room, but there is no rail on that side. You could easily take up position near the stairs and whack at someone before they see you.

There's room under the stairs alongside Muddle, and a decent gap behind the barrels if you want to get completely hidden.

The kobold shrugs. "This is dwarf-work here - maybe. They don't let me look around."

The sack contains four pairs of manacles, an old dagger, some wax-sealed rations, and a small pouch that feels like coins. There's a few small trinkets, or possibly keys loose in the bottom - you'd need to dump it out to see.

...

The door at the top of the stairs much have stuck, because it takes two tries of slamming into it before it opens. I'm waiting on Blazeguard, and any last-second actions before the guards return.

Saeloria grimaces and hides as best she can between the empty racks, trying hard not to touch anything more than she has to. She will try to pick a spot that will allow her to see what is going on as much as possible while still keeping relatively hidden. She will wait quietly whilst readying one of her shurikens.
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

Selene grabs the dagger and pouch and dumps the rest of the contents on the floor. She then looks for the nearest concealment.

Hamish holds his position and waits for someone to hit with an iron bar. He's kind of looking forward to it... you can tell by his big smile.

Amongs the trinkets are some cheap jewelry (bronze and brass bracelets), several iconic looking pendants, including a few holy symbols, and three keys.

The nearest concealment is beside or under the stairs. You could also find cover in the jail cell, if you so desired.

The far "north" cell would provide the best concealment and view, hiding by the pillar. it also puts you furthest from the opening, and the base of the stairs. You could also hide at the back of the rack nearest the opening, which provides a decent view, but you'll probably want to run up to the bars before throwing.
