Well, I can't open this door from this side, so suppose we should head back to the illusion room where the ropes were.

"Do you think we should follow them?" muses Rykken. "You guys are the vets though so I'll follow wherever you lead."
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

Are you all still interested? It's been a while since Rykken made his statement, and nobody else has posted. Grumm, Timorel, you still there? (I know Shybolt is waiting for someone else to speak.)

[I have to apologize again - I've resubscribed to this thread and still do not get updates in the email. I'll have to check in more often.]

Grumm is half-tempted to send Shybolt off to follow the dwarves. Allies down here would be useful, but of course we can't be sure that they are potential allies. If we don't follow the dwarves, I'd say we should head downstairs and see about the 2-headed snake.

OOC: Sorry, it was a busy week.

"With all that leather armor and wink-and-a-nod business, I half-suspect they were thieves. They were off awfully quick as well. If I were them, and I were trained in such things, I would certainly post a lookout to count us as we came out."

Timorel thinks about the situation for a moment.

"I'd rather get on with the two-headed snake area, but I also don't want to be followed and not know it. Maybe we could all head that direction, then at some convenient point one of us could stop, hide, and watch for a time to see if anyone is following us. What do you think?"

"That sounds like a prudent course of action."

We could rig an alarm trap, though if they are thieves it might not work.

Lets just go to the rope room and head down. We'll watch for the dwarves, but I hope they are long gone.

Grumm will take the lead then - glaive drawn and on the lookout for dwarves. He'll use the glaive's pole to feel for tripwires.

Shybolt falls in behind Grumm, ready with his bow.
