"Should we try to barricade the hole before the next watch?" asks Rykken.

Probably a good idea - in case somebody wants to play sniper

Rykken starts looking around for items to barricade the hole with. Provided he can find enough 'stuff' at hand, he will pile whatever he can find in front of the hole until satisfied that anything that would want to exit would either be unable to or would make enough noise and be slowed down enough to prevent surprising the party.

The adventurers, rather belatedly, decided to block the cleft in the cellar wall with barrels and crates they found in the cellar. Then, they resumed their rest.

There are no further encounters; everyone awakens refreshed, with 1 HP of healing if needed and all spells recovered. What next?

While one of the missile-armed folks covers us, Grumm and another can move the crates and barrels from the hole. Then, if all necessary spells are prepared, we can proceed back into the hole. Since Shybolt's usually in the lead, Grumm will defer to him from this point on. Grumm will be happy to hold the captive dwarf's rope, using his glaive to help keep him on the move.

Shybolt will watch with his bow while the others clear the barricade. If we are alive once that is completed he will move up to the opening and look down to make sure an attack isn't coming then he will carefully look at the stairs the walls, and the ceiling to see if last night visitor has left us a present. If all looks clear he will lead the others down, torch in his left hand and sword in his right, stopping at the bottom to listen and if nothing heard he will repeat the previous process before entering the room at the bottom of the stairs, of course looking down the passages as best he can before stepping in. Then if still alive, he will look to see if the dwarf corpses are still there, not careing one way or the other, just wanting to know. Then he will make his way to the secret door room, listening and watching at every corner and watching for traps along the entire route.

Timorel will take his customary place, 3rd in line. He'll be ready with sword and spell, staying alert and looking around, and making sure to glance back every few steps to make sure Rykken is still there.

Rykken will bring up the rear keeping a wary eye out for any dwarven reinforcements or other trouble.

With their makeshift barricade removed, the adventurers proceeded down to the first room.
