I agree. Let's head back up. Timorel sticks his head through the illusion and calls to Grumm, "We're going back up to the tavern."

Grumm comes out of his reverie (sorry - board wasn't sending me notices, and I got busy enough that I forgot to check - good to know that the party can finish a fight without the half-orc fighter) and climbs up the rope to join the others.

"What the heck happened here - I was watching for a two-headed snake"

OOC: Welcome back!

"The dwarves followed us, tried to turn me into a pincushion, so I put half of them to sleep and Rykken and Shybolt finished the rest. Except one, who escaped. Let's head back to the inn for a night."

I seem to be confused. Didn't someone say they were restraining a dwarf for questioning?

after looting the bodies, we drag the living dwarf into the room close the door so he can't see his friends and slap him into consciousness, threaten him with sharp weapons and tales of horrible paid to come if he doesn't talk and then we question him (we won't tell him that one of his friends got away so )...

"what are you after down here? Why did you attack us? Who do you work for? where is your rebel base? Does anyone in Redbluff know you are down here? How did you enter the tunnels? What secrets of these tunnels does he know?"

(Anyone else have questions)

Grumm doesn't have any questions, but he does have a plan - assuming a dwarf makes good bait for a 2-headed snake.

A search of the dwarf flunkies produced 32 electrum and 18 coins, while the dwarf leader's pouch had 1 electrum, 8 gold, and 16 platinum coins, as well as a piece of paper marked with numbered squares. There appeared to be nothing special about the armor or weapons of the dwarves, save for the dwarf leader's longsword, which Rykken felt sure was of Elven rather than Dwarven manufacture.

Shybolt's attempts to intimidate the dwarf got him nothing more than a surly "Not talking to you."

"Fine, bait for a two headed snake it is. Lets go down now and look for it."

Shybolt will study the paper to determine if the numbered squares resembled the cavern we were in or if it looked like something we already encountered. Or if he can take any other information out of it.

"Sounds good to me," Timorel says, tightening his bandage and looking at the paper over Shybolt's shoulder.

Shybolt carefully held up a torch and examined the paper, with Timorel looking over his shoulder...
