Re: Chapter 9
Timorel cast his sleep spell, and four of the dwarves fell promptly to sleep... three of those in the back with crossbows, one of which had already fired, and the kneeling dwarf who forced the door. Trajan had only a moment to register the loss of his forces before Rykken stepped forward and swung his weapon; the dwarf leader did likewise.
Rykken's blow fell true, while Trajan swung wide; he staggered under the force of Rykken's blow, but did not fall. The remaining dwarf, who Timorel thought was the second-in-command, raised his crossbow and fired, hitting the elf.
Timorel took... 1 point of damage. Ta da. Rykken has initiative next round, followed by the two dwarves, and then by Timorel and Shybolt.

Re: Chapter 9
Shybolt clambors up the rope wondering what the heck is going on, but once his head pops above the illusion he hears the clanging of blades on armor and the thud of a blow meating flesh. A crossbow bolt flies thru the air and lodges in Timorrel. There are dwarves carpeting the floor like nap time in the grotto and two still up and fighting. He climbs to his feet and readies himself to charge into the fray.

Re: Chapter 9
Rykken, seeing Timorel take a bolt, lets out a mighty bellow and presses his attack, swinging at Trajan again, trying to keep him off balance.
The problem with doing something really stupid to impress people is that they may just be impressed by how stupid you really are.

Re: Chapter 9
Rykken landed a heavy blow on Trajan, driving him backward. Cursing in his native language, the dwarf leader backed slowly out of the room, while the other dwarf stayed carefully behind him.
Do you want to pursue them? Timorel and Shybolt act now.

Re: Chapter 9
If I can get to the dwarf leader I will take a swing, but if I can't get past rykken. Then I will pull my bow free and fire an arrow past my dwarf at the other dwarf (the leader)

Re: Chapter 9
If there is some way Timorel can close and attack with his sword, he will. If he can't close, he'll draw his sword and get as close as he can, then adopt a defensive posture in case he's attacked.
He'll let Shybolt go through first if there's any confusion.

Re: Chapter 9
Shybolt rushed forward and took a swing at Trajan where he stood in the doorway, but he tripped over the deceased dwarf and missed. Timorel, unable to close with the enemy, waited behind the halfling.
The dwarf leader seemed to realize his position in the doorway gave him an advantage, and he began kicking his sleeping comrades, cursing at them in Dwarvish as he did so.
He's just past the doorway now, so no more than two of you can melee with him. Rykken has initiative again, followed by the dwarf leader, then Timorel and Shybolt can act. Grumm is, apparently, staying below.

Re: Chapter 9
Shybolt will slash at the throat of the nearest sleeping dwarf if any are within reach. If not he will slash at the chieftain once more.

Re: Chapter 9
Rykken, seemingly in a battle rage of sorts, closes in on Trajan and swings again. He will try to subtlety move to the side slightly while engaging Trajan to try and open him up to attacks from the side from the ones still in the room (fighting sideways in the doorway instead of blocking it).
