With the door finally open and the empty "throne" room (assumption), Shybolt looks back to shout out his triumph. Seeing his fine friend Grumm in dire straights Shybolt pulls his sword, run down the stairs and leaps full speed and all his heftless weight behind his flying charge and slams his blade into the undamaged head of the snake.

Timorel trades bow for blade, runs down the stairs, and strikes for all he's worth at the snake. He does his best to not hit Grumm.

[disguising his voice to sound like Solomoriah] Brother Arven dashes in with a mighty blow that nearly sinks all teh way through the snake. Timorrel's blade sinks deep into the snakes neck, nearly severing it. Shybolt's short sword finishes the jon and the snakes head lops off and hangs by its fangs form Fierce Grumm.[/disguising his voice to sound like Solomoriah]

Very funny. (Imagine me saying that in Doctor Doom's voice.)

Holding for Grumm.

Sorry I was absent.

Grumm will do his best to escape the snake's coils, if they're already wrapped around him, or strike with his glaive if he is still free.

Shybolt and Timorel threw themselves into the fray, slashing the great serpent; bleeding copiously, it released Grumm and began to withdraw. Brother Arven struck at it as it moved away, but his attack fell short.

Grumm stood up and shook himself, but by the time he had his weapon ready, the snake was too far away to attack.

If you pursue the snake, I'll roll initiative; otherwise, we're out of rounds.

Grumm will pursue, attacking with his glaive if possible, charging if necessary.

"Kill it now!" calls out Shybolt, charging at it again, hoping to kill it now while its wounded.
