Timorel takes a moment to note more details about the room, any doors, any other serpents or anything else unusual before backing as quietly as possible back to the rest of the group. He'll confirm Grumm's information and add anything else he discovered in a soft voice as well.

I have a plan so cunning it could have been conceived by a fox who was the head professor of cunning at the Kings University, We could take the snake skin from back in the last room and use it to disguise ourselves as we slither past the big one ahead, Brother Arven thinks to himself, then decides not to say anything about tactics and to just state the obvious.
"If that thing is poisonous, one bite and the person is done for. I am afraid my Lords healing will do nothing for poison and unless there is an easier way to get someone to the upper levels then it is a moot point anyhow."

Grumm will go back for another peek to determine the room size and whether there are any obvious exits or other features of interest.

Well, we might be able to sneak into the south passage without waking the snake, but I think our best bet is to kill the snake now so we don't have to worry about it later.

That was my thinking as well. We'll want to explore all these passages so the snake will have to go. Now how do we do it and live through it.

Brother Arven is big enough that if it tries to swallow me it may choke to death. Just a thought. I was just kidding. No really, put the tape measure away guys.

Turning to Timorel, Brother Arven asks quietly, "What do you think mage, will your sleep spell put it out?"

A barrage of missile weapons is probably the best way to start, and then melee and the hope that we don't get poisoned. We should probably spread out around it, so that whoever takes the brunt of its attack can fight defensively while the others get in attacks from the rear.

"Taking it out now is best. I don't know if my sleep spell will affect something of this size, but it's possible. Maybe we should attack as Grumm and Shybolt suggest and save the magic in case it starts going badly."
