Chapter 7: Luck, or Hard Work?
Re: Chapter 7: Luck, or Hard Work?
Good idea, but we won't light the fire unless its off the chain and enters the pool of oil.

Okay, if there are no further questions, please declare your actions... let's light this fire!

Grumm will tip one of the barrels of oil next to the door, so that the oil will (hopefully) flow partially under the door. He'll do this with his boots off - so he can wipe the oil from his feet and then put the dry boots back on.
Re: Chapter 7: Luck, or Hard Work?
( I don't care what fire we light just as long as we light one soon. So if the oil pours under the door, light it and burn the door down. lets hope the creature is standing in the pool when we do. )

In the grand scheme of things just assume Brother Arven pulls when told to pull. (And runs when told to run!)
Player: I drink the potion!
DM: Are you sure you want to do that?
Player: Um, no. Maybe, Why, do you think it would be stupid?

Timorel will be at the back ready to throw oil. He'll have a wet kerchief tied over his mouth and nose, and he'll be prepared to lead any retreat that might be necessary.

Grumm will be ready with his glaive to use it to push the creature away more than actually try to damage it.

With the door rigged with a spike and a rope through the steeple-nail, Grumm tipped a barrel of oil in front of the door. Stepping back quickly, he got only a little on himself. As he quickly donned his boots, Brother Arven stood ready holding the rope while Timorel had a flask of oil in hand.
Who's holding the fire? Shybolt?

Shybolt has found a way to mount the torch on the wall and is standing with his bow ready and an arrow rigged to be a flaming arrow that he will light from the torch.

Indeed. So Grumm has put his boots on, and is waiting; Brother Arven is holding the rope and waiting; Timorel is holding his oil flask and waiting; and Shybolt is holding a ready bow and arrow and waiting. When do we stop waiting? Someone needs to actually declare an action.
